No endo found
The surgeon said that there may have been endometriosis at one point, but it was treated by my
Mirena
coil. Can this happen? I asked her if the adhesions would hurt more during different parts of my cycle and she said no, plus the pain is usually on my right side and the adhesions were on the left.

TTC 2+ years after first lap?
I was wondering if anyone had a
mirena
IUD at their first lap, kept it for a few years and then tried to conceive? Any issues? I’d love to hear your stories!

Endometriosis and ADHD !
In horrendous pain at the mo following having the
mirena
removed after 10 months. It really effected my ADHD because of the progesterone in it. The nurse has said that all other treatments for endo are progesterone based and suggested a hysterectomy ! Anyone had the same experience? Xx

Pain Team Referral
Hi Everyone, When I saw my consultant back in May, she suggested for me to go on to the pill to control pain and symptoms alongside the
Mirena
coil.

Post Laparoscopy pain
Hi, I am so glad I found this group! I had a laparoscopy 5 weeks ago now, my surgeon said he did not think it was endometriosis as he had put me on zoladex treatment for 18 months and it had reduced the size of the cyst so he was just going to have a look. During the op he discovered it was endometriosis

Endo/pms
Hi, need some advice I'm having endo removed next week. The gynecologist has suggested I have the marina coil fitted while I have the procedure. I'm a bit concerned as I suffer with pms and I've heared some stories it's made peoples pms symptoms worse. Anyone else experiences would be appreciated thanks

Undiagnosed endo, lap and biopsy next week
I’ve got
mirena
already (personal choice). Consultant suspects endo. My womb lining is ‘thicker than it should be’ on the
mirena
so they’re going to do a biopsy while I’m out having the lap next Monday. He put me on the urgent list so it’s just been about 6 weeks from consultation to operation.

Ugh! Questionable advice from surgeon about endo returning post excision surgery
He said he doesn’t think it’s endo related but wants to give me more hormones to shut my cycle down completely (already have the
mirena
coil), he said it might adenomyosis and he even said he’s not sure if any one of my previous symptoms were due to the endo despite them all vanishing after my op and

Fed up/ angry 😡
So had my post op appointment today with my surgeon , who carried out my laparoscopy 3 months ago.. I tried to ask questions.. like why is my pain worse now than it was prior my op? .. his response was 'well I removed the Endo so you shouldn't be in pain' .. I then went on to express that I have to take

Whirlwind emotional rollercoaster
I have the
mirena
and I’ve been in horrendous pain over the weekend so they send me to a&e for possible ectopic pregnancy. I do another urine sample when I get to a&e. Negative.

Mirena for heavy periods
Hello, I had the
Mirena
coil fitted 4 months ago for heavy periods, with fibroids and adenomyosis. I had to wait a year to get a gynecology appointment, and had a hysteroscopy, and the
Mirena
fitted at the same time.

Ashermans, thin lining, low ovarian reserve, poor responder.. trying ivf one last time with donor sperm for possible surrogacy if lucky
After many years of having a
Mirena
coil for heavy periods, my then partner and I decided to start to try for a baby. I thought it was strange that when I had the coil out my periods remained just as light as when I had it in.

Mirena coil moved, strings missing, possible surgery needed to remove.
I’m beyond furious about this as I’ve asked three times if
mirena
is in the correct position and was told yes each time. Even though when I got a glimpse of my latest mri images I did think to myself “The
mirena
looks way too high up and too close to my spine”. Has this happened to anyone else?
