Cannot find an answer to this!
I’m tempted to have a
mirena
coil fitted to even out my cycle but can’t find anyone who can tell me how they found using it alongside thyroid replacement. I’m on T3 only so it’s far more prone to swings and other factors affecting it than levo.

Constant bloating and swollen tummy
In the past I’ve had a laparotomy and laparoscopy for ovarian cysts and my endo, I’ve had a
mirena
coil for years which stopped my periods completely, living without period pains has been a god send. But now I’m wondering if I have ovarian cysts again and hoping it’s not something worse.

Mirena and bleeding after lap
Hi all, I had a Laparoscopy 3 and a half weeks ago and a
Mirena
coil at the same time. I only lightly bled for 3/4 days after, but then my period came not long after and I’ve now been bleeding and cramping for 15 days!

Mirena removed and less pain?
I’ve had a lot less pain (so far) since the
mirena
was removed which definitely made my symptoms worse (pelvic pain) for the 9 months I had it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Pain but no period, could it still be endo?
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing ongoing pelvic pain even though they have no periods or very little spotting (I have the
mirena
).

Laparoscopy next week and very nervous!!
I had numerous appointments and scans with gynaecologist's over the years who all just said either go back on the pill, stay off it and see if it solves itself or get the
Mirena
coil.

Mirena removal and bleeding
Hi, just wondering what your experiences are of
mirena
removal and instant bleeding? I had mine removed Monday, Tuesday spotting and heavy bleeding yesterday and today. Just wondering wondering how long this may last and if I need to take Tranexamic acid prescribed by Dr. Thank you

Endo pain with mirena 12 months on
Do you think its likely new growths of endometrial tissue, benign cysts (the common type from being on the
mirena
), just
mirena
pain or something else?

Prostap side effects
I have the
mirena
coil and my consultant wanted to leave this in as he said it wouldn’t really impact but to not have HRT for the first injection. With the
mirena
I don’t get the periods but I do get the pain and bloating, I have been on off bleeding for the last 10 days.

Bleeding post Laproscopy excision and Mirena
I had a Laproscopy four weeks ago where quite a bit of endo was removed and a
mirena
coil fitted. I had some spotting and then my period (I think) the week after my surgery. But then it seemed to stop.

Surgery or try other things first?
I currently have a coil, but the Jaydess not the
Mirena
which can actually help endo. Would anyone else postpone surgery to try to
Mirena
coil first? I know it's so hard to get a date for surgery so I wouldn't be giving it up likely, but I just want to weigh up the options.

Family planning - where to start?
I'm also on the
mirena
coil which will need to come out I'm guessing a few months before at least. My symptoms are certainly getting worse again, especially over the past 2 years. Any help/your stories would be really appreciated! Thanks!

I was given a
