Advice and questions -now in permanent Atrial Flutter?
After my third ablation with two cardio versions that resulted in nsr two or three weeks after cv, my EP will not convert me. since I was on the strongest drug Amiodarone there is no medication I can take- Flecanide gave me prolonged qt wave. My problem is flutter- and I am so uncomfortable at 100bpm

It is a BIG day for me...
Hey afib family! My doctor has given me the green light to stop metoprolol! I stopped flecainide 3 or 4 weeks ago and asked if he would consider taking me off the metoprolol and blood thinners and he agreed to the metoprolol but recommended I stay on the blood thinners for now. For those that have stopped

What sleep aids are safe with SVT, PoTs and Metoprolol
Hi everyone, I was wondering if any of you know what sleep aids I could use while taking metoprolol for SVT and PoTS. I used to take Zzzquil but there is alcohol in that. Looking for something natural that won’t exacerbate my sensitive heart. Thank you.

Metoprolol Shortage.........
My in house pharmacy at myGP’s cannot get any Metoprolol 50mg or 100mg due to shortage from the manufacturer. So without advising me gave me 3.75mg Bisoprolol once daily....... instead of my metoprolol 50 mg twice daily. Telling me it would be the same. However, upon looking at the SPC site memo on suitable

Has anyone transitioned from metoprolol to flecainide? I am suppose to taper off metoprolol while starting 50 mg of flecainide.
I’m wondering what I should expect and how fast does flecainide work?

Metoprolol
So I was given metoprolol due to having a svt episode (180 heart rate and extremely high blood pressure). I take the extended release 25 mg and I been feeling dizzy and I also get palpitations. I don’t know if I should switch medicine or reduce the amount I have. Does anyone experience these symptoms

Slippery Slope- 3rd Ablation update
I feel like I am sliding down a slippery slope- having had three ablations in 18 months I have not been able to walk like I used to - yeah I teach exercise classes but it’s getting harder - I am in the blanking period or it takes three to six months to feel like normal and I back to an ablation Update

Did anyone else have issues getting their doctor to approve ablation?
I’ve been on metoprolol for 4 months now and my SVTs are definitely not daily like they used to be. But I still do have episodes and they still affect my quality of life. Last time I saw my EP he said to keep on with the metoprolol since it is helping. I’d much rather not have SVT and not be on beta

Question for those with multiple AF ablation experience
I had my ablation on December 3rd, ten years to the day of first being diagnosed with afib and tach. I had stopped taking my flecainide 3 days before the procedure and was in full blown afib when they put me under. They had me back on the flec before I left the hospital. I had been on flec for over

bisoprolol and shortness of breath
Hello, I am on bisprolol 2.5 mg for inappropriate sinus tachycardia, which was thought to have caused/exacerbated my shortness of breath (which was initially caused by severe anemia but persists despite normal Hb [but ferritin is low normal]) . The bisoprolol also brought down my diastolic BP which

Why the difference?
It seems that METOPROLOL is in short supply in my area at the moment so my GP prescribed BISOPROLOL 2.5 to be taken once daily. My daily dose of METOPROLOL is 100 mg twice daily. Why the difference in amount? THUMPER

Does Losartan cause muscle and joint pain?
I was given Losartan 50 MG by my cardiologist and it did not seem to do anything so she increased it to 100 MG. She said she would rather max out the Losartan before adding another medication. The 100 MG did not seem to do much either as my BP was a little higher than I would like. I went back to her

Ectopics or Atrial fibrillation (?)
Hi I have been feeling fluttering in my chest for a while. 45 yr male, management role & 75kgs. The Cardiologists have described it as frequent atrial and ventricular ectopic. On reviewing my data, it did race upwards at times (100+) but the issue seems to be the inconsistent Ectopic/AF beats and usually
