While there are several possible causes for swollen ankles one possibility is the amlodipine, where it's a common annoying side-effect ( my husband and sister changed BP drugs due to this). If so, there are alternative drugs in the same class that are less likely to cause this.

My ankles are fine when I wake up but swell as the day goes on. I'm pretty sure this is caused by Amlodopine. They swelled quite a bit when I was taking 5mg but are much worse now that the dose has been doubled.

I was taking amlodipine for a short time, my ankles swelled ,my GP changed them to ramipril, they gave me bloating and pain round my midrift. but there are many more that might not cause you any symptoms, but don't suffer in silence...good luck

My ankles always swell when flying and in the hot weather. I have been known to walk through Gatwick Airport without shoes cos I can’t get them on😁 and I take diuretics!

You still need to seek medical advise this is just my experience.
