Difficulty tapering and questions~!
After my initial infusions of steroids, I was on 125 mg per day of prednisone, then 100 mg for a month before switching to 85 mg per day of
Methylprednisolone
tabs plus Actemra, about 10/2019. I've gotten near 10 twice and had vision issues, but by July 2020, I was on 20 mg daily. Hoorah!

methylprednisolone may increase risk of catching COVID- MS study. Pred seems to help after you catch it though
query=etoc_jwneuro&jwd=000020101855&jspc= use of
methylprednisolone
in the prior month a 5.2-fold increased risk (95% CI, 2.2–12.5) I guess this just means continue with being cautious

Hot flashes
I have been on
methylprednisolone
for PMR since October of 2019. I have had two flares since trying to reduce, and am now on 8mg.for almost two months, with no pain. The last week, I have had a horrible hot flash with red face, sweating and loss of appetite around 5PM everyday.

I'm new to tell my story
So I am started on 60mg Prednisolone and had to reduce every 2 weeks by 10mg. this did not work so had
Methylprednisolone
intravenously every other day for 3 days but still had a weird head so received a double dose which did work, and at last I was pain free.

Nausea before diagnosis.
My blood tests showed high elevations of inflammation, and was immediately put on
methylprednisolone
. I woke up the next morning feeling like a new person. No pain and no nausea. That was about 16 months ago. I am now decreasing, but have flares when I try to go down too quickly.

Hair loss
I have been on
methylprednisolone
for about 15 months. When I reached 8mg. in my descent, my hair started thinning, to the point that I’ve lost about half of my hair. My doctor has ran numerous deficiency tests, and that doesn’t seem to be the problem.

PMR Relapses
I was diagnosed with PMR in October of 2019 and keep having relapses when I try to descend on my
methylprednisolone
. I started out at 20 mg. and am now at 8 mg., but every time I try to go down to less than 8mg., I have painful, debilitating relapses after about 3 weeks.

Is this bruising normal?
Currently on Yonsa (insurance switched him from Zytiga) and
methylprednisolone
, plus the bad boy Lupron of course. Here is my question: he bruises horribly from the slightest touch. His skin is literally like tissue paper, mostly of the arms, and peels up or tears from the slightest touch.

Vasculitis in my Spine "Central nervous system Vasculitis"
I received Solu-Medrol which is
Methylprednisolone
over the next 3 days they kept me on this. No position is comfortable. You can't see properly. You can't sleep. It has been 14 days now and for the first time I can walk without support, I can see properly again.

Methylprednisolone acetate with Lupron
Would
Methylprednisolone
injection to the knee interfere with the lupron? help the Lupron? I found one study that showed that
Methylprednisolone
and zytiga worked together for castration resistant cancer, but he is not in that position as of now, but he could be when the lupron stops working.
