I know you cannot take methylprednisolone and prednisolone simultaneously but can one transfer from methylprednisolone to prednisolone without any adverse effects , bearing in mind that 4mg methylprednisolone is stronger so is equal to 5mg prednisolone .? 🤔

I finally agreed to take Hydroxychloroquine but she did not give me directions on how to now modify the Methylprednisolone taper.

Hi everyone, just diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis and yesterday was given a Methylprednisolone intramuscular injection and about to be put on Methotrexate to control condition.

I am into my 2nd week of reducing 9mg to 8mg of methylprednisolone. Doing the 5 week tapering plan. I have pain in my hips at 3.30am when I get up to take my steroids but when I awake at 8am I am comfortable with no pain the rest of the day . Is this normal to have pain at 3.30am .

Hello Pros My Rheumatologist’s office called and is requesting that I drop from 4Mg to 1mg methylprednisolone because of perfect labs. I know!!

Just to confirm I add 4mg methylprednisolone for one week then back to my current 10mg . Hopefully that will work.

Having spoken to the doctor on the vascular is team after a PET scan showed inflammation of subclavian, brachial and aorta large vessels, I am due today for my first of three methylprednisolone and then a weaning dose of oral prednisolone.

Can I take my prednisolone and levothyroxine together or better one hour apart ?

We went over my regular medication, and I slipped up by telling him I take methylprednisolone on an as needed basis. Well, he goes and puts on my notes to not prescribe me any going forward. He told me it's just a placebo!

Hello all I started taking methylprednisolone almost 3 years ago for PMR. In order to control weight gain I implemented intermittent fasting and skipped breakfast. So I have been taking my steroids at lunch time ever since in order to take with a meal.

Hi, If someone has finished the MethylPrednisolone pack on July 5, 2024, how soon can blood be drawn to get a reading of CRP and ERS without it impacting the results? How long does Pred stay in our systems and affect the CRP and ERS blood test results? Thank you!

I've been on methylprednisolone since March 2024. Started at 64mg per day and reduced successfully to 8mg per day 6 weeks ago.Have had no pain since starting but this week I have had some pain in shoulders neck, upper arms and hips.

Hello Everyone, What happens if i just "Cold Turkey" Stop the 6.5 mg of methylprednisolone? I'm so sick of it all. I've gotten very low on meds (even zero for a few days) and the pain and stiffness return so bad i can't function. If i just quit, what's the worst that can happen?

I have always been on a split dose of methylprednisolone and my latest was 4mcg at breakfast and 4mcg tea time. I had some achy hips and shoulders and neck last week so Dr increased my dose to 10mcg at breakfast .

They confirmed the diagnosis, and I was prescribed medications, including methylprednisolone, methotrexate, and hydroxychloroquine. Recently, I moved to the UK and started consulting a rheumatologist here.

I just wanted to post my experience of methylprednisolone IV in case it might help someone one day. I was in a big flare so my rheumatologist suggested IV methylprednisolone once a week for 3 weeks.

Next for me is a try with a methylprednisolone 5day infusion. Will be my 4th treatment hoping for a little relief soon.
