Methylprednisolone

When the doctor saw me, he did the whole reflex test on both of my legs, and was thinking of putting me on methylprednisolone* , until he looked at the notes my neuro had put up about him banning me from steroids unless with with my ocrevus.

The doctor has given me methylprednisolone ointment but was only getting worse after a week. I stopped taking atenolol for a week and the methylprednisolone started to work well. But blood pressure went too high so went back on atenolol. Psoriasis worsened again with lesions spreading.

Went back to doctor after putting up with it, prescribed course of methylprednisolone which I'm afraid to take, also told to try Flonase which is now available over the counter, wondering if this will help this. With almost constant discharge don't know if Flonase will adhere to sinus walls.

Organ damage also was associated with the use of methylprednisolone pulse therapy or intravenous (into-the-vein) cyclophosphamide (IVCY) pulse therapy.

Now is having three daily infusions of Methylprednisolone and going to start on Rituximab 1st November. Has lost over 10 kg in weight and now can't even walk.He is really poorly. Can anyone help or let me know if they have had nodules like this and if they have had treatment and what helped?

Recently he started self-medicating himself with steroid “Methylprednisolone” 4 Mg / day. As per him , he is seeing considerable relief with it. Worrying about this consumption, we got him checked for PBC + AIH overlap syndrome, but AIH is negative for him.

Recently I hurt my back running and was prescribed a 4mg/day methylprednisolone dose pack to help with the injury. I began taking the steroid last Tuesday evening, and by Wednesday afternoon to my pleasure noticed a marked reduction in my Ascites…like possibly even gone completely.

Do both come in pill form? What is the major difference? Having some confusion between my Dr and the pharmacist

I have asked the doctor repeatedly whether there is some other long acting treatment regimine that I could implement that would not require my inhaling steroids but he refuses and just keeps treating the thrush with fluconazole and methylprednisolone. Anyone have any suggestions?

He had to root around to find sufficient (Methylprednisolone?? I think that's right) so I had 3x40 ml vials. He said he thought these injections should be administered by a doctor. The results were nothing like as dramatic as the first one, but I did feel less exhausted and slightly less stiff.

Met onc today who talked about my case with my old onc at MDA, they both recommended it’s time for Calquence because of the CLL being SLL now and the flareups not really subsiding like they used to (I would swell about twice a year, do methylprednisolone, and be fine for about 9 months).

Having recently moved hospitals I wasn't seen for a while which unfortunately let the nephritis get worse (I have Class IV) so my new doctors put me on the Euro-lupus regimen with 3x intravenous drips of methylprednisolone and 6 courses of intravenous cyclophosphamide.

The doctor there could see the inflammation and prescribed methylprednisolone for 6 days. It did not help. I saw my GP on the 16th. He was puzzled by the swelling, pain and red rash like area, but had no answers.

I just went to Express Care for swelling, inflammation and PAIN in my foot and a massive bruise on my leg. IAS far as I know, I did not bump, fall, etc. so there is no reason for what happened for certain. I already take Prednisone. The doctor in Expreess Care prescribed the MethylPred for the pain,

My nephrologist and care team agreed that Methylprednisolone would be good to help deal with my problem. Within a couple of days, the swelling and pain were gone. Is anyone else having issues with gout, and how are you dealing with it?

Can anyone tell me their experience with Methylprednisolone? are they really supposed to be taken so much forever? (my Methylprednisolone was 8 mg per tablet) Are lupus really can be taken care of with internist or we really need autoimmune specialist that specifically in lupus?

A cumulative dose of 4.5 grams (g) of iv methylprednisolone in 12 weekly infusions is the optimal regimen. Alternatively, higher cumulative doses not exceeding 8 g can be used as monotherapy in most severe cases and constant/inconstant diplopia.

Medication The biggest offenders are steroids like prednisone and methylprednisolone (Medrol), which are often used to control lupus flares. Flares themselves can be bad for your heart; it’s not unusual to develop pericarditis in the midst of a flare.

Just after starting the infusions which included dexamethasone &methylprednisolone my daily glucose jumped to the high 400's low 500's. My PCP put me on Tresiba (degludec) insulin.
