Looking for alternative to inhaled steroid

I am seeing a pulmonologist for allergy induced asthma. I am in late stage 3 kidney failure and cannot take oral steroids. I am allergic to Albuterol so the doc prescribed Trelegy but it has caused an ongoing case of oral thrush because of my low immune system due to poor kidney function. I have asked the doctor repeatedly whether there is some other long acting treatment regimine that I could implement that would not require my inhaling steroids but he refuses and just keeps treating the thrush with fluconazole and methylprednisolone. Anyone have any suggestions?

Can’t advise about medications but can suggest possible treatment for oral thrush. Several years ago I had reoccurring bouts and found none of the standard medications really helped. Eventually my gp suggested swilling salt water around my mouth several times a day. This actually solved the problem! Now if I feel it is starting up again I just swill my mouth again and usually clears up after a couple of days. Hope this suggestion helps.

Re the kidney and lung problems etc,I have been told that my problems are due to an auto immune condition. I have infusions of rituximab every six months at the hospital.
