No evidence of new bone

disease. Bone Scans 03/19/2021 Tracer uptake associated with sclerosis in S1 Slightly less pronounced compared to the prior exam. There is no new focus of tracer uptake suspicious for new osseous metastatic disease. Side effects due to ADT: Very little.

Zytiga
In September his bone scan showed more
metastasis
. In addition to some back spots that he previously had, he has 2 new spots on his hips and one lymph node is affected. His PSA 3 months ago was .20. This week it was .21. Does this mean Zytiga might not work for him?

FISETIN
In a laboratory study using negative breast cancer cells, FISETIN reduced migration by 76 percent and inhibited
metastasis
. The effects were likely due to FISETIN interfering with several pathways involved in
metastasis
. Please all read the article!

Hello from Clair in the Hill Country of Texas
Hello everyone, I am new to the group but have gotten so much valuable information and I thank you. I had a mastectomy in June of 2017 and felt like I was almost to 5 years. A new oncologist started in my practice and we had a great initial meeting where she asked lots of questions. She asked if I had

I’m frustrated (damned if we do and damned if we don’t question doctors)
So why do they assume
metastasis
when I’m asking for scans, but not when I’m asking for a second drug to address his PSA?? I’m so frustrated.

Cautious celebration!
Twelve months ago I could barely walk down the road without being dosed up with painkillers. Lots of them. This week I walked along the canal on two days around ten miles, no painkillers and nothing more than aching muscles. I've had twelve rounds of ibrance 125mg and letrozole. I've put on a stone

Cytoreductive surgery for Oligometastatic PCa.
Does cytoreductive prostatectomy really have an impact on prognosis in prostate cancer patients with low-volume bone

? Results from a prospective case-control study.

PIK3CA mutations contribute to fulvestrant resistance in ER-positive breast cancer
I recently came across a study that basically stated that women with PIK3CA gene mutations may actually have fulvestrant resistance. I wanted to ask if any other women had that gene mutation and if so which medications/treatments are you pursuing? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6789267

L-theanine suppresses the metastasis of prostate cancer by downregulating MMP9 and Snail
I found this last night when researching SSRIs for PCx. I did not find any other posts about it other than I guy that posted two years ago, using this every three hours as an adjuvant to his Xtandi. Any thoughts on this study and amino acid taken as a supplement and not just from drinking green tea

I recall a recent post re MSK recommending lymph node treatment based on likely risk of micro
metastasis
to lymph nodes without any evidence yet, similar to basic indigo scenario.

My recent scan has shown progression in the liver!
Hello I’ve just got back from seeing my Oncologist. My recent CT scan has shown new mets in the liver and the existing mets have grown a little. All other mets are stable. Xeloda has been stopped. My Oncologist has suggested I should now go on taxol. However, she has also offered me two other options

Second opinion
I have returned from MD Anderson! The doctor say she wouldn’t give me IV Chemo until I tried all oral Chemo first, she would do exemtense first then taxol, but taxotere last. She also stated my liver is functioning just fine and there are more options if taxotere doesn’t work. I do have a lot of mixed

Scientific Study on Fenbendazole - for Cancer Treatment
Hi fellow MBC’ers: I was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that metastasized to my left pelvic bone (acetabular) in April 2019. I had 5 SBRTs to the pelvic bone. In May 2019 I started IBrance, Faslodex & Xgeva. In August 2019 I became aware of the Joe Tippen’s protocol & added that to my daily

Mammogram today wish me luck
Although I am already on Ibrance, Faslodex and Xgeva, I’m getting a mammogram today to make sure everything else is OK. And yes it freaks me out just thinking about it. Wish me luck ladies. I tell myself what are the odds I could have another new cancer?

There were 4 studies posted on the ASCO GU 2021 virtual conference earlier this month that compared circulating (cell free) cfDNA testing for PCa mutations for BRCA1/2 and ATM and compared them with

tissue biopsies in the same patients.

How much info is too much, too soon?
I may have shared my anger at my internist for telling me how bad my life would be with
metastasis
. I didn't think it was appropriate, and and news about my cancer should come from my oncologist. Would I have been less resentful if my oncologist had been less tactful?
