Liquid "Biopsy" for Genetic Profiling Validated

There were 4 studies posted on the ASCO GU 2021 virtual conference earlier this month that compared circulating (cell free) cfDNA testing for PCa mutations for BRCA1/2 and ATM and compared them with metastasis tissue biopsies in the same patients. There was approximately 90% concordance between the two overall. Both for positive correspondence (Same mutations in both) and negative (lack of the mutations in both. This seems good news for those who want tumor (somatic) genetic testing for these most actionable mutations but do not have accessible mets for biopsy. Results can be found at ASCO GU 2021. Free to enroll to access the "Poster" abstract presentations there.

You wrote: "Free to enroll to access the "Poster" abstract presentations" - I could not find out how this can be done. It tells me: "you can still get access via a purchase"
