ADT Orgovyz
Does anyone know the cost of this drug?Insurance has denied it. I have seen on the internet a price of 2300 monthly. My doctors want me to do short term ht . The safety aspects seem safer than lupron with quicker recovery time once off the drug.

Suffering from cyclical pain and nausea
Hey ladies! I have been hanging around these parts for quite some time. I’m near the end of my rope with my cyclical issues. I’m currently taking several types of hormones to control it but nothing seems to work. I am on progesterone cream (10 days a month), progestin, lupron, and the mirena. This past

Shielding Query
Does whether you’re advised to shield or not depend on your RA diagnosis or the medications you take for it? I’m asking because I had a letter originally, then a letter telling me to ignore the first letter. I had to stop taking the usual DMARDS due to intolerances which just left me with my IM Depo-Medrone

Wim Hof method to counteract some of the effects from ADT
Don’t know if anyone here has tried the Wim Hof method but I’ve been trying it since my Lupron injection in hope of fighting off ADT related brain fog, depression and fatigue and I think it has been helping me so far. It's creator developed this method after his depressed wife jumped to her death from

Clinical Trial Niraparib or XOFIGO
Good morning, I am new to this forum and am thankful for having found it. I am trying to learn as much as I can about my husband’s diagnosis and pray that we are making the best decisions for his treatments. To this point we have not sought out a 2nd opinion and have wholeheartedly trusted in the treatment

End of STAMPEDE, what to do?
My guy has had success with no recurrence of CRPC on the STAMPEDE protocol - originally he was Stage IV, Gleason 9, had prostate removed, had 2 soft tissue mets found on PSMA, treated with radiation, and is BRCA2+. He had rapidly progressed to CRPC early in the cancer. He has been told he could possibly

Lupron withdrawals, is it a thing?
I was dx in Dec 2019 with Stage IV APCa and put straight on ADT (Casodex and Eligard). Chemo soon followed and concluded with Radio in October last year, last PSA 0.01 and we are all happy about that. As I responded well this treatment process, my MO gave me the option late last year of not having my

Has anyone else noticed hormone requirement changing once you reach end-stage Hashimoto´s?
I expected to required T3 and T4 at this stage, but not only do I only seem to require T4, but also lower doses now than 20 years ago when I was diagnosed. Back then, an ultrasound showed my thyroid gland was of normal size, but that there was already extensive damage to the hormone-producing cells.

Cdk12
Do any of you have the cdk12 mutation? Is it very rare? Is it more aggressive than other mutations? My husband got his shot of Lupron today his Urologist has never even heard of that mutation. He said mutations are geared more towards Oncology however that’s not one he has ever heard of. Even my husbands

PSA a cautionary tale
I haven’t contributed much to this board, but I did ask some questions about prostatitis and prostate cancer a while ago. In Mar. of 2020, I saw a slight increase in PSA and my MO ordered a new CT and Bone scan which revealed only minor changes since the last one. No bone mets, and only minor changes

Still undetected
Just had a psa test, still undetected. Next lupron injection is April, three months this time. My oncologist wants me on lupron 2 years. One year down. Guess there will be some time before I will know if radiation to pelvic area was effective.

What is considered castrate resistant? My husband's psa began rising again after about a year of being undetectable. Originally his psa was 1400's, did 6 rounds docetaxel, lupron for about a yr. Which brought his psa down .02. Recently they added Xtandi because his psa was rising every month up to
