ADT and growth of breasts
I was not a victim of breast enlargement during my first injection of Lupron or while on Casodex but I do not know if it is any indication that my breasts won't grow once I start ADT again in a few weeks. Did any of you experience growing breasts while under ADT? If yes, did they go away after treatment

Cancer Free 13 Months - Wish to Stop Lupron This October (Will Be 2Years)
Hello. I have had a Prostatectomy in 2018, 10 doses of Radiation and 6 doses of Chemo in 2019. I've been cancer free since October 2019 and I wish to stop my quarterly Lupron shots this October. My Dr suggests I continue taking Lupron for the rest of my life. I do not want to continue after being cancer

PSA rising, won't be able to escape ADT. Any tips for brain-fog and depression handling?
Went to see my oncologist today. PSA is still rising. After my initial, and only so far, injection of Lupron in April, my PSA had gone down from 116 to 1.9 in May but I've never reached the non-detectable stage and stayed at around 2.2 for the whole summer. But from August onward, with Lupron out of

Types of radiation. Which is best for pelvic bone mets?
I have 3 pelvic/femur hot spots on my recent MRI and and am experiencing some hip and thigh pains; not bone pain per se but muscles/ligaments/fascia/nerves which could be related to the presence of cancer. The pains followed a bone biopsy (through the buttocks to the Ischial Tuberosity.) Ouch. Anyhow

PSA Surge on Zytiga
Good morning Warriors: Update - a week or so ago I posted that since I started taking Zytiga on November 7, 2020, my PSA has shot up from 4.2 to 14.5 as of last week. I am on Eligard 6 - month shots instead of Lupron. In 18 years of my battle, PSA never above 4.5 after prostatectomy. Met with

Taper?- small reductions but is in relapse or withdrawal ?
Dear PMR, Could I ask a question about dosage, tapering and possible relapse. My original symptoms were triggered, I think, a very, very bad chest infection 18 months ago where I was very ill for a month and a half. I appeared to recover, but then and after 8 months, these symptoms came about suddenly

Lupron vs Trelstar
Hello all. Been on Lupron for a year. Switched Docs, he switched me to Trelstar. And comments on which is better? Any complications from switching? My PSA has been undetectable for a year.

Gl 9, 6 years in
Dxed with Gl 10, All 12 cores positive, with up to 80% involvement in 09/2014. Started Bicalutamide immediately then added Lupron to ADT. Then took the advice I had given my Dad 27 years before, "Get to the biggest, best Cancer center as fast as you can." So I called Fred Hutchinson in Seattle and

Effects on the gut and heart of Orgovyx (Relugolix) vs Lupron
1. How does the Orgovyx (Relugolix) affect the gut microbiome since you are swallowing it as opposed to an injection of Lupron? 2. The NP told me that Orgovyx (Relugolix) is less stressful on your heart than Lupron. Any idea if thats true?

Some much needed good news
Hey party people. With all times people come here to understandably complain and get pissed, I wanted to give some good news. I feel fucking AWESOME. I've been on Xtandi for a month and I'm two months into quarterly Lupron shots too. I did get super bad flu symptoms from Lupron for a day and a half

Day 9- HCG trigger shot
Hey guys, just another quick update. I've been in a tizzy the last couple of days. When I was getting my medications, they told me not to get my Lupron trigger yet because it's only good for 14 days, after which you have to discard it, used or unused. Fast forward, after my weekend baseline ultrasound

Best ways for dealing with ADT side effects?
Hey Folks, I'm Richard, 58 years old, Gleason 4+5=9, no Metastasis detected with Bone and cat scans, although micro-metastasis are common with Gleason 9. Had external beam radiation (EBRT) and a high dose brachytherapy (HDRT) boost late 2019 and early 2020 last year. Total biological equivalent dosage

Lupron Holiday but I can't wear a swim suit.
After a year on Lupron I am on a break, hopefully a long break. But the added fat on my chest and lower abdomen is a daily reminder of the Lupron effect. I'm aware the fatty chest is permanent but is the lower abdomen fat too? I appreciate all input.

Need a little help 6 days of Xtandi left.
Hey folks, I'm wondering, have you ever reduced your meds by say a pill or two until new ones came in? I just noticed I have about 6 days left and of course the pharmacy that sends it to me has the day off. I get it. I'm just worried about how long it would take to get the next bottle. It took a month

Is this bruising normal?
My husband was diagnosed 4 years ago with stage IV PCa , mets to bones- hips, pelvis, sacrum, with a Gleason 4+4. Received Taxotere initially. Currently on Yonsa (insurance switched him from Zytiga) and methylprednisolone, plus the bad boy Lupron of course. Here is my question: he bruises horribly from

Question
My dad had local prostate cancer and 50 IMRT and lupron for 18 months - then was off everything until 5 years later when Psa creeped up now he has a few bone Mets- when back on lupron and Zytiga the psa is low- does that mean he is hormone sensitive still -
