Post Brachytherapy PSA
I'm thinking this is quite good news. Jim had HDR Brachytherapy last October. Unable to do pelvic radiation nor any lymph nodes nor his suspicious bone spot. He is considered Oligometastatic. Despite limited RT, after six months of PSA <0.04, this month he is down to <0.02. He of course still on

Zofigo RA223 Seems To Be Working - PSA Still 9
Hello warriors: I am about to have my third injection of Radium 223. So far so good. I have some fatigue but try to ignore it and press on with exercise, swimming, walking, lifting weights and playing golf. I think the Lupron and the 6 months of Chemo did more to the stamina than the RA 223. My PSA

I'm now castrate resistant - what now?
Hi everyone, After 3 years of keeping the beast in its box, it seems to have escaped. I've been on Prostap (I believe it UK Lupron equivalent) and 50mg Bicalutamide and my nadir (around 0.7 has now doubled over the past 6 months. My current reading is 3.1 (12 wks ago, it was 1.5) So the trend is clear

Time for action?
Hi Itās been 4 years since my last contact with this site (though I view it daily). Over that time my PSA has been slowly, but surely, edging up. My history in brief is dx Dec2013 with PSA 5.1 G9Tb3 PNI ECE. Had 78gy of radiation therapy early in 2014 and 3 years on Lupron (finished Feb/2017). No

Recommendations for ROs and MOs in Houston
Iād like to request the names of one or more good ROs and MOs in or near Houston, TX (not at MD Anderson). My husband (age 71) was diagnosed with highly aggressive PC in late December 2021. Gleason Score 9 (4+5), PSA was 12.5. CT and bone scans indicated no metastasis but PSMA PET scan indicated

Lupron question
Hello group, this is my first post. I started following this group in February. My question is this. I switched from Firmagon to Lupron April 20 to benefit from the longer lasting doses. I started with a one-month dose of Lupron to make sure I tolerated it OK. So far so good. I am coming up on my second

Arrhythmia and Zytiga
I have been on abiraterone for about a year and a half along with Lupron. Iām currently seeing a cardiologist because the last two weeks Iāve developed heart palpitations/arrhythmia. Of course itās always hard to pin the blame but I wonder if anybody else had heart issues when they were taking abiraterone

Rising Liver Enzymes
On Zytiga, Prednisone and Lupron (standard plan). PSA has gone from 8.0 to undetectable within 3 months period but Liver Enzymes have started climbing over last 30 days. Any thoughts? Which is lesser poison, liver destruction or slow growing PC.

Four Year Transdermal Estradiol Update
Well, it's been four years since I started applying transdermal estradiol gel (tE2) as my mono-therapy and I'm quite happy with the results. My SOLE side effect is some degree of gynecomastia which is a 'small price to pay to keep the PC at bay'! Just a brief history, and yet another 'boob' pic (taken

Two Years Ago Today
Two years ago today I was sitting alone in a hotel room waiting to have my Prostatectomy at 6:am the next day. COVID was rampant, my wife was not even allowed in the hospital with me. At the time I thought I was going to beat this thing with the surgery, only to find out 10 days later that the pathology

Lupron vs testicle
Why would onocoligist want to use lupron with known cardio side effects vs testcle removal. I'm now having cardio problems and was never given removal as a choice. I was 78 but surgery would have been easier than lupron side effects.
