For those on Lupron experiencing fatigue…
I have been on intermittent Lupron for over ten years after biological reoccurrence after robotic prostatectomy. Fortunately it has worked well to keep my psa in check but fatigue and general loss of stamina has kept me from engaging in many physical activities I used to enjoy. FORTUNATELY I have been

Husband’s testosterone is extremely low. Anyone with helpful ideas?
My husband has lived with PC for around 14 years & has been on lupron injections since. 250 mg Zytiga & 5 mg prednisone were added 3 years ago. & despite usual hot flashes, fatigue, blood pressure ups & downs, did well. The last 6 months he has been extremely fatigued, shaky, lightheaded. His blood

question about hypothermia?
a couple weeks back, I visited my Kaiser infusion lab …. Lupron implant and Zometa pain train infusion. While there the intake nurse was alarmed with my 95.2 body temp. It’s been running between 95.2 and 95.7 lately. She told me to go to the E.R. , immediately, if it dropped to 95 or less. They were

To ARi or not to ARi, that is the question
I had a 12/22 .71 PSA, 6mo doubling time and PSMA confirmed 5mm met in right pelvic lymph node (after prior failure of RP and fossa IMRT to “cure”). I have been on Orgovyx for a month and start 28 sessions of IMRT to the pelvic lymph nodes with boost to known met next week. Tolerating Orgovyx very well

Relugolix/Orgovyx with pelvic radiation?
My PSA is increasing once again beyond the detectable level. 9 years ago had RPT. 6 years ago had follow up PBRT only upon a detectable psa rise. See history in profile. My recent PSA is at 0.364. I have a PSMA PET scan scheduled at UCSF in April. Should the scan show metastasis in the pelvic

Post-Lupron, Zytiga, pred, radiation--pain in joints
Hi All! Husband has been off Lupron, Zytiga for about six months now and finally weaned of the small amount of prednisone a couple of months ago. He's been slamming supplements and kicking up his exercise, and testosterone is slowing coming back (at about 80 right now.) He is slooowwwly starting to get

how do you afford Lupron and other cancer drugs…even with insurance coverage?
Hey! My husband is covered under UHC and a 3mo injection of Lupron is crazy high and the out of pocket we pay is also very high. I’m in the process of researching Orgovyxv to use instead, but not sure if insurance covers it. Thanks for your input!

I don’t understand!
On Friday jim was in the hospital for his 3 month internal stent replacement. Blood work all within normal range. It seems like in the last few months he was using the catheter less and less and doing so much better. No urinary tract infections any more., but a few days before the surgery he had terrible

12 years on this journey; just recently found this community
Recent PET scan showed tiny mets to lymph nodes and pelvis. No pain/symptoms as yet, just SEs from Lupron and Xtandi. Mostly slight fatigue, some loss of appetite, and occasional hot flashes. Retired a little over a year ago. Since then have been traveling, biking, joined a softball league, and play

During my first consultation with Oncologist, he recommended monthly injections of Lupron and Xgeva, with the understanding that I would go to injections every 3 month for Lupron if well tolerated. 2nd monthly consultation, MO told me that he was changing Lupron to 3 months and I would not be receiving

Is anyone currently doing TRT or BAT?
I was dx'd stage 4, G8 in 2018, at age 49, after 44 EBRT sessions and one year of ADT/lupron, I rejected any further ADT after experiencing horrible, life altering side effects and learning about it's actual efficacy. My PSA kept rising ever so slightly, so I pushed for a PSMA PET scan for two years

BEST PORT LOCATION FOR CHEMO?
I may be starting Chemo in a couple of weeks? Meeting with MO after latest PSMA PET Scan, showing probable Apalutamide/Lupron failure. After a 3 month rise from 0.1 to 0.6, he ordered a scan & hinted at Chemo next. Found resolution of old mets. but some new ones. At any rate, although I am 74, I

Looks like lutetium is next for me (if I can get it)
Finished 6 cycles of chemo with Carboplatin added. Scans show mixed results. mipsma 2. Dr. Kwon is suggesting lutetium to push the cancer off the edge of the cliff. He’s suggesting to have it sooner rather than later. I have low tumor load. And Mets to Lymph nodes in pelvic region and subclavical. My

Continuing Lupron
On July 17, 2022, my last ADT vacation was ended due to some progression of metastatic lymph node cancer in CT scan at a PSA of 1.1. My MO put me back on Lupron for six months hoping that PSA would drop to undetectable by the end of the six months. A month of Casodex 50 mg before the a Lupron shot brought

Alternative to Zytiga/Abiraterone?
My husband Jeff is 62 and was dx in Oct/22 with PSA=12, Gleason 9 (4+5), cancer in all cores, with SVI and ECE, but thankfully, the PSMA pet didn’t show any spread to nodes or bones/organs. He started Lupron in Nov/22, Abiraterone in Dec/22, and will start 8 weeks of IGRT next week. Recent blood work

Is the a standard/preferred course of treatment for mixed ductal PC (post- RALP, post recurrence in prostate bed, post radiation)?
Gleason 8, 3 mos post-prostatectomy PSMA showed spot in prostate bed, just finished radiation of pelvic bed, in month 4 of Lupron (2 years planned). No evidence of spread outside prostate bed; recent psa was 0.4 Oncologist is a swell guy, but I don’t sense he has a great depth of experience with ductal

Chemotherapy again?
I completed 6 cycles of Docetaxel in March 22, I had a CT scan on 1-15-23 and on the 16th my MO requested pre-approval for docetaxel and was approved. I am currently on Lupron and Zometa and wondering if I am jumping to conclusions that there must have been something on my CT scan that prompted the request
