Does anyone know the cost of this drug?Insurance has denied it. I have seen on the internet a price of 2300 monthly. My doctors want me to do short term ht . The safety aspects seem safer than lupron with quicker recovery time once off the drug.

Firmagon (monthly shots) does pretty much the same thing.

I'm on Orgovyx. Costs 50 bucks per month. Good insurance. Firmagon monthly injections will do the same thing, most insurance will cover that, cardiac toxicity is less than with Lupron, however your testosterone will not recover as fast as it would on Orgovyx.

Unless you have several thousand dollars per month to spend on drugs firmagon would be your obvious choice.

My first estimate was $850/month...and after discussion with support people at Myovant....it was reduced by 95%. I start next week. Do your homework...do the paperwork...and let them know your situation and that you are serious about taking it. It took me about 3 weeks of calls, scans, etc. Worth it to avoid the pain and disability from monthly Firmagon shots.

I will have my doctor contact them to see if I can get the price lowered. Did they have income restrictions for the lower amount?

We never discussed income. I suggest that they are looking for strong candidates...as they need to develop a track record. Make sure your application makes your case as a serious candidate...willing to stick with regimen and willing to do the use documentation.
