Hello, I'm a breast cancer survivor and have had NETs in stomach removed, bladder cancer (low grade) removed, and RP w/ gleason 9. Currently on chemo (Taxotere) and Lupron. PSA post RP was 63 now at .03. UI is a battle and low energy.
Hope to learn here.

Wow, you've had it all! Have you had a germline test for BRCA mutations? A PARP inhibitor may work well for you. Talk to your oncologist about adding carboplatin to the Taxotere for the next infusion. Also, discuss Lutathera.
Hi Tall, I’ve done that genetic test twice and was negative. My dad died of pancreatic cancer at 63, both younger brothers died in their 50s from colon cancer and lung and prostate cancers. Both my younger sisters (twins) had thyroid cancer but are well now. All were heavy smokers. I quit drinking and smoking almost 20 years ago. I have been lucky as I’ve caught cancer early each time. It’s a rough fight but I’m ready to fight. I worry about Covid and getting the vaccine. MC
I feel for you Mr CatMan, my family is also ravaged by cancer. My grandfather had bowel cancer, as did my uncle. My mother died from Cervical cancer, my sister survived breast cancer but was eventually taken by liver cancer. Her son, my nephew, died from pancreatic cancer. One of my daughters is 10 years in to her fight with breast cancer, and currently dealing with brain mets. And I was diagnosed with PCa 7 years ago. Zytiga currently failing but only 2 bone mets which are going to be treated with SBRT.
Both my daughter and I have had the BRCA test and both proved negative. Thankfully my 4 grand daughters have been inoculated against cervical cancer (or is it ovarian cancer? Can’t recall)
I am sure there is a gene mutation somewhere, but a full genomic profile is very costly. I have heard the term “familial” cancer, but I think that is just a term to be used when you can’t prove any other cause.
Post RP PSA 63. Not supposed to happen... Mine also 63 post RP. Dr said get affairs together, Only have 12-18 mo max. 4 years later here I am in remission... Hope Taxotere works as well for you as it did for me.. Now on xtandi ( PSA started back up after cycle # 4 on chemo.) half dose. Best of luck to you in this new battle..
