Can Erleada/Apalutamide and Xtandi/Enzalutimide be used subsequently or is Xtandi ineffective after Erleada stops working?
If someone is castration sensitive and they start/use Erleada until it stops controlling the PSA, is Xtandi usually effective to use following the Erleada, or will Xtandi be ineffective because it works in the same manner as the Erleada? I understand that Erleada is for non-metastatic and Xtandi is

Zytiga failure after cassodex failure?
I was diagnosed with stage 4 in 2015. I had chemo, lupron, and cassodex, until PSA suddenly spiked last year. I understood it to mean cassodex was having reverse effect. After scans showed tumors growing in prostate, started on Zytiga, with lupron. PSA already started dropping soon as I quit cassodex

Why continue LUPRON when ADT not working?
I have castration resistant prostate cancer with a Testosterone level of 6. I am not sure why I am still taking Lupron when it is clearly not working? Ideas? Like everyone, I hate the side effects! Thanks in advance! History: Diagnosed at Stage 4 (2 years + 3 months ago). Reached mCRPC 1 year

Another stable guy from MA
Like Tom of MA, the scans for my road warrior from MA came back as stable. He hadn't had a CT or bone scan since June, 2020 because he broke his collarbone and bruised a couple ribs bicycling last August. So the bones needed to heal before any imaging could be done. (Some may recall my bragging about

Experiencing different side-effects across Lupron injections
I’ve had Lupron injections twice so far, once in April 2020 and a second time in early Jan 2021. My side-effects are not uncommon in themselves, but I am surprised to notice that they differ wildly from one shot to the next. The side-effects that I’ve experienced across both injections are loss of

Latest PSA & T Results
I continue with great news. PSA, <0.1; T, 566. The results continue from a 2004, six month chemotherapy with ADT trial. Last Lupron injection was February 2010. I wish all good luck in fighting this disease. Gourd Dancer

Officially tapering as of today~!
Sometimes I am confused as to whether this is attempt 3 or 4, I think it is 3. In July of 2020 I got down to 8 mg of Medrol but started having blurriness in my right eye so went back up to 16 mg per day. Since November 2020 I've been on 12 Medrol per day along with Actemra. I had mentioned in a post

Do the lumps from Firmagon ever go away?
I had Firmagon May 2018 and Lupron since. One side is small and hard but the other is larger and softer. Has anyone experienced this?

2nd radiation potential
Wondering if you can take another round of radiation? Had 80gy of pelvic and prostate bed rad 4 yrs ago. Latest PSMA scan shows several significant lymph nodes along each sidewall of pelvis. Been on systematic treatment Lupron for 2+ years. Could IMRT or Proton target just the large lymph nodes

Bone density and SABR-COMET10
Hello to all. I continue to find your posts enlightening and supportive and thank you for them.I am presently on Lupron and Apalutamide and have recently completed a 6 x 6 (36) Gy treatment regimen to my prostate. I had a bone density scan last year and my 10 year fracture risk is moderate (10 - 20%/

Psa rising and on Lupron. Thinking about castration and looking for advice.
Now discovered prostate cancer on 3/2017, removed on 6/17. Psa going up on 8/17, and radiation on 11&12/2017. Good for 2 years, but now at .4 and taking Lupron (just Started). Wondering what people think of castration vs chemical castration. Pet scan shows spot on one lymph node and where urethra attached

IMPROVED RESPONSE TO ADT thanks to you all and your feedback
I reported severe depression and "brain fog" on ADT a couple of months ago. Here's what has REALLY worked for me, based on your feedback. THANKS TO THIS GROUP! Switched from 6-month Lupron depot shots to monthly Degarelix shots. (Degarelix is only available in 1 month shots). Degarelix does NOT give

Xtandi appears to be ineffective
Hello all! Well it looks like Xtandi is not working to lower PSA, we are 5 weeks in and PSA has been climbing rapidly, Alkaline Phos been holding steady at 90. Dr. has scans ordered and may have to start Cabazetaxel soon and probably last two Provenge treatments will be cancelled. I hear Cabazetaxel

Narrative for Disability Retirement
Good morning, I have been a reader of your forum for years. My husband has castrate resistant, metastatic prostate cancer. He has close to a dozen bone mets. The most severe bone met is on C2, which effectively obliterated C2, rendering his cervical spine forever unstable. He switched his steroid from

Out of Remission. Starting over...
Hi everyone, Unfortunately after three months of remission I had a very bad flareup. The week before my husband and I were leaving for Maine (Sept) I decided to get a flu shot. Four days later while in Maine I started not to feel well. The usual PMR symptoms. I had no medication with me. My doctor

Just got back from my Doc. The last time my PSA had risen to 97 so I was at the edge of needing to change to something else fast or else I was really going to start hurting. I've been taking a shot of Lupron in my butt, along side Xtandi and an IV once a month that makes my bones denser. I can't remember
