Update on my daddy- 8 years stage four
Hello guys! I wanted to give a little update on my dad. He was diagnosed stage four prostate cancer in June 2015, with a PSA of 257 and a single lymph node involved. His prostate was so enlarged at the time that he had to have double nephrostomy bags. He started hormone therapy and chemo immediately

Orgovyx vs. Lupron?
Saw a 2021 article about Orgovyx being potentially superior (more effective, potentially fewer heart issues, and pill form instead of a shot) to Lupron, and wondering if any advanced PC patients here have been on that instead of Lupron.

testosterone, following cancer, treatment with stable PSA
I had prostate surgery 09/2018. Followed by Lupron and full pelvis radiation. 11/19.Gleason 7 & 8 by different path. Stopped Lupron 11/18. PSA stable at .006. Low Free testosterone. My problem is fatigue and lack of strength in spite of working out. I am considering testosterone supplementation to

Slight PSA increase
What would you suggest? You see my history in my bio. This June I added a second disease and was diagnosed with testicle lymphoma. Testicle has been removed, all tests (bone biopsy, lumbar puncture, Pet/CT) are clear. So well do four cycles of R-CHOP chemo and doctors are confident, that this will cure

Some hopeful test news:šš»
My son had a PSA of 20 just 3 mo after RRP last October 24th. Prior to that we had no idea from his test results that the PC was outside of the prostate. It had gone to his pelvic lymph nodes plus heās tertiary five. Heās been on generic Zytiga and prednisone and Lupron and finished six weeks of IMRT

Future after Erleada/Lupron
I met with a new MO today for a second opinion. I've been taking Erleada/Lupron for almost four years with few side effects (for which I'm grateful). I'm aware that my results have been very good and I wasn't looking for advice regarding a change in my care....I just wanted to have a second doctor

Treatments thus far in my bio, but summary is RP in April 2019 (pT2N0M0) and then 6 month Lupron & salvage radiation to prostate bed January 2023. PSA <0.01 in January as expected with T=23, April showed T=176 (low normal), PSA < 0.01, and now in July T=281, PSA = 0.02. My RO stated "...while that PSA

Sharing My Good News
I hope this is OK to do considering the same is not true for others. Essentially, about 18 months ago, my PSA began rising (to very low levels) after being dormant for most of the previous 10 years. Following a PSMA my MO thought the largest tumor in my left acetabulum was the culprit so after several

QOL - Fun, Enjoyable, and Happy
12 years into this journey (69 y/o now). Reached Stage 4 last year; with current meds Lupron and Xtandi. So blessed that, so far, I have been able to stay active in spite of some meds' side effects. Fun: Pickleball, where I've made many friends while laughing and competing. Enjoyable: Biking, with

If immediately stopping after two years taking Orgovyx how long before testosterone begins to rise?
Iāve heard that testosterone returns quicker if using Orgovyx compared to Lupron. But I also heard that the longer on any ADT the longer the recovery. Or maybe testosterone never recovers? What do you guys think question

Finding Support Groups
I am 84 and diagnosed with PCa in 2014. I had a multi-specialty work up Sibley Hospital in Washington DC (Johns Hopkins staffed clinic). No mets found. I was given 1 option, External beam; 70 Gray treatment went smoothly with no SE. I was given one injection of Lupron prior to the radiation. PSA

eGFR down 14% since starting ADT
I just noticed that my estimated GFR which measures kidney health is down from 89 in October to 77 in June 2023. In October I started Lupron. Does Lupron impact kidney health? This is something I want to keep track off. Mark

Sweet!
Had 2nd of 90 days Lupron Feb 1-23 as adjuvant 6-month ADT therapy with my Salvage IMRT. First PSA test yesterday and T level. Undetectable (less than .006 uPSA) and T level of 30. Here's to hoping it stays down. I know BCR may happen over the long run with SVI, PNI, bladder neck, and surgical margins

How do you find a good oncologist and how do you overcome the side effects of Lupron?
My dad is in his 70's and is taking Lupron shots every six months but it is negatively impacting his mental health to the point where he is going to stop taking it. He had his prostate removed and radiation about ten years ago when he was first diagnosed. I'm really worried about him because at this
