proctitis
Hi, I wrote last month about having calprotectin levels of 2000. I have been on pred enemas which didn’t work. Now on pendasa suppositories I think it is. 3 weeks later no better. I’m not sure if it’s worse. I see my consultant next Saturday but in the meantime wondering if there is anything diet wise

Hi, everyone.
Hi. I am new but am so excited to be here. I have PTSD. I try a lot to handle my day to day. I need help getting back into society and interacting with people. I feel really comfortable in my home environment with my dog. If anyone has any suggestions, I would take them. I would also take sleep strategies

Help! Going mad with anal itching & pain
I went to the GP last week after 4 weeks of anal itching and pain. Tried all OTC creams but nothing worked, ordered Proctosedyl ointment online (I got this 13 years ago after having a fissure post labour) but it was out of stock so got scheriproct instead which didn’t do much. GP gave me Diltiazem ointment

Having dental treatment whilst on warfarin
I am 78, male and take warfarin for atrial fibrillation. I have to have a wisdom tooth extracted and a gum deep clean because of gum disease. I will need to take warfarin as usual but am worried about the possibility of heavy and uncontrollable bleeding and also because the NHS dentist wants to perform

Dental treatment. Tooth extraction.
I (82years old) have mastocytosis. One of my teeth has to be extracted. Has anybody had any experience with local anaesthetics and the necessary medication for the procedure? Is there a dentist in London who would treat under the circumstances, private or NHS. I am quite desperate and very grateful for

Depression/OCD crisis
Trigger warning… Having a breakdown of crisis. I can’t stop crying. I have no one to talk to and my OCD is telling me I’m dying. The urge to self harm is strong. My OCD is contamination and health related. Everything is gross, everything is contaminated. I hate washing my hands over and over. I hate

Hi all! So I've struggled with food since 12 but ignored it. I know it's not right but yeah. I'm 24 now and I've gotten better the last year/ 2years. Some days I am okay but some get bad, like today I cooked lunch but now I smelt it and I feel sick, I feel sick in my throat, stomach. And it scares

How I almost got trapped by a mental health exploit
Freakin pisses me off to no end how people think that because I have struggles with mental health SOMEHOW that must mean I'm a complete idiot. Well, I almost got trapped today by an advertisement to see if I would be a "Ketamine Candidate". I'm actually angry at myself because, although I'm certainly

I read this and have experienced it and more.
“I am 14 and I’m struggling in algebra class. When I ask for help, the male teacher says, ‘I’m not surprised girls aren’t that good at algebra’. I am 18 and go to my first fraternity party with girlfriends…… we don’t ever say it out loud but it’s understood that we need to stick together at these parties
