Apixaban and iron
I am taking Apixaban 5mg bd and iron bisglycinate 60mg. Is the iron reducing the effectiveness of the Apixaban and vice versa? If so, what is the solution to raising the ferritin levels?

Was thinking of Dr. Chandy yesterday, God bless him for having such courage
Long story but I have had a couple of head MRIs due to lesions that are perpendicular in nature. To check if they have increased. I had access to my own scans so I knew that they were checking for MS. As I could read the medical terminology. But my GP (newish to me) never told me. I don't know why, it

Ferrocalm
I started taking Ferrocalm about 18 weeks ago and suffered adjustment symptoms from day 1 which still persist. I have had severe intractable iBS-C for 10 years which has not responded to all allopathic treatments including Amitriptyline which didn’t work at 100mg at night! I was fully investigated

Am I being blasé about stomach protectors whilst on Pred?
I have had PMR for 3 and a half years and generally feel lucky that I am not feeling as bad or fatigued as many on this forum. I am certainly not as fit as I was but age has a part to play. I am 75 and used to be able to do big hikes, Zumba and so on but can still walk 4 to 5 miles and have just moved

lynparza dose reduction?
I am just wondering if anybody who is taking lynparza has had to reduce the dose due to side effects and if so have you seen any decrease in efficacy with doing so? My dad is currently taking 300mg twice daily and has constant nausea. He has tried zofran, promethazine, and the sancuso transdermal patch

Guts won't restart properly after op
I just had a minor op (Wednesday) when they numbed my bum (and around there, interesting). Now possibly due to painkillers that I tried to avoid I can't get things going -one nurse gave me tramadol assuring me it's fine for constipation (not, I trusted). They gave me a load of dulcolax tablets in the

Low Iron
Hi guys! Like suggested lve done my full Iron panel! Could you please recommend the best dietary iron sources, except for liver pâté, which I'm already aware of? Also, if I'm unable to eat enough iron daily, are there any highly absorbable iron supplements you could recommend? I've been taking Spatone

Vitamin B12 - Missing piece?
Hello Everyone, I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine! I've recently started taking Vitamin B12 supplements (specifically, https://www.cytoplan.co.uk/vitamin-b12-sublingual-as-methylcobalamin-adenosylcobalamin ) on weekends before bedtime, and I've noticed some positive effects. The following day

Tirosint - can anyone advise how I can find out if this brand is available in my area?
I am struggling to access lactose free Levothyroxine at my GP surgery’s pharmacy and have read that Tirosint has fewer excipients than most brands of T4 and wondered if anyone could advise me the best way forward for accessing this brand/or other similar brands? Many thanks.

ferritin level suddenly jumped.. can this happen??
hello forum friends. I went to my gp last week and requested a referral for an iron infusion. I said I’d pay for a private haematology initial consultation if necessary. he’s referred me via nhs but I had to have up to date iron tests.. My ferritin mid June was 32. I had been taking three arrows

Vitamin B12 Consultant
Is Dr Klein the only B12 consultant in the UK? Is there others or has anyone been treated by Dr Morris and knows how to get hold of him?
