lynparza dose reduction?

I am just wondering if anybody who is taking lynparza has had to reduce the dose due to side effects and if so have you seen any decrease in efficacy with doing so? My dad is currently taking 300mg twice daily and has constant nausea. He has tried zofran, promethazine, and the sancuso transdermal patch and none seem to be helping with nausea at this point. Thank you for any input.

I am currently on Lynparza. Originally the 600mg dose worked great but led to problems with low cell count on white and red blood cells. Went down to 450mg per day and was just as effective as full dose. Doing so well I am going to ask to drop dose to 300mg in September. I am doing blood tests every 6 weeks to stay on top of this

Unfortunately, there is always a trade-off between effectiveness and side effects. I was hopeful that the combos with ARSis (Zytiga,Xtandi) would allow for a reduced dose, but it wasn't tested. The new generation of PARP inhibitors are less toxic. Maybe he can get on a clinical trial?

Tall-Allen.

Any substantial data on fellow forum members , or others , on Monotherapy SBRT treatment using MRI not a CT Scan . I viewed the UCLA Video but it was 2020 ?

OR : SBRT vs Monotherapy, HDR Brachytherapy .

Thanks .

I had nausea with it but it went away after a few months. I am on full dose.
