Newly diagnosed; so scared, confused, and depressed
Hello. I'm so glad to have found this supportive and helpful community! I apologize for the long post. I first noticed when I received routine bloodwork results a year ago that my eGFR was flagged as low at 80. Since I didn't know what an eGFR was, I started researching and was alarmed to read that

Alcohol - I Did a Silly Thing
Yesterday to celebrate my daughters 50th birthday, my son in law chartered a beautiful boat for the afternoon - 3hrs. It was wonderful and from the time we left the harbour the four of us were plied with nice things to eat and wine. Now I'd already had a drink before boarding the boat and my wine consumption

Olaparib and Radium 223 synergy ?
I seem to recall seeing that there was a trial on seeing if there was synergy to taking Olaparib and Radium 223. But can not find it. Anyone have any knowledge of this? I'm BRCA2 mutated and currently taking Olaparib, and considering Radium 223. Thanks.

What diet to follow?
My 66 y.o. husband has a Gfr of 53 and 15 to 30 protein in urine. He was first diagnosed 19 months ago and Gfr has changed very little. His PCP tells him to drink more water, lower sodium intake and get tested annually. He went to a Nephrologist that told him to drink less water (no more than 50 oz

How much Gaviscon to take?
Having endured angina type symptoms for more than a year, yesterday I tried Gaviscon for the first time at the suggestion of my GP. I immediately feel a lot better. So now I want to ask everybody about taking Gaviscon. Is it OK to continue taking it indefinitely every day ? The instructions say 10

Hi, I was taking Indapamide for 4 weeks and my BP was great, however my GP has taken me off them as he said my sodium levels are too low, now I'm on Doxazosin and my BP is right back up and I feel rubbish. Anyone else suffer from low sodium levels and if so is there anything you can take to increase

Chemotherapy or Pluvicto
I just completed Radium 223 treatment. PSA has been doubling since I failed Zytiga. Last scans show progression. I am offered chemo or a trial with Pluvicto. The cancer is throughout my bones. What should I do. I have had chemo at the beginning of this journey and it worked then.
