Detectible PSA two years after RP
I had a radical prostatectomy in June of 2017. I had several different Gleason numbers from the biopsy prior to surgery. The highest Gleason number was 7. My PSA was 23 prior to the biopsy. Surgery was successful and margins were clear at the post biopsy. I had my 2 year check up last month and

May have RLS - Just got ferritin reading
Went to a Pulmonary doctor for another topic, and during discussion, he said I may have RLS. I checked symptoms, and it sounds just like me. Diagnosis is not 'finalized' yet. I just got results back from getting a ferritin reading, and it came back at 15.5. Says it is low, but does not tell me normal

CBD/ medical marijuana??
Hi everyone. I am in the UK and I have lupus, fibromyalgia, Raynaud, myositis IBS and the list goes on. I don't know very much about CBD or medical marijuana and wanted to know if you can be prescribed it on NHS or what's the best thing for lupus. I went to a stall the other day and the guy was showing

PBC and azathioprine vs medical marijuana
My doctor recently prescribed me 50 mg daily azathioprine six weeks ago and now I have symptoms of IBS, no solid stool for a week, stomach discomfort. I’m thinking of lowering my dose to 25 MG daily, and possibly weaning myself off. Needless to say, it’s affecting my quality-of-life. I’ve read studies

Hello all; READ ON OR NOT? I was drawn in by so many from this site because of similar problems. Always Looking for natural ways to help with pain. I was diagnosed in 2004 with Fibro, CFS and migraines. Many other issues too much to mention. I’d say my health declined once the migraines started in 1993

Difficulty sitting after Prostate Surgery !
Hello everybody this is my first post. I just had radical prostatectomy 11 days ago. A lot of the pain has subsided more or less, but I feel if I sit for an extended period of time, the area is too tender and gets inflamed and painful. Bumby car rides are really challenging. I am using donut cushions

Need advice, facing question...
Facing some choices.... I often have significant urinary retention issues tied to chronic prostatitis. Had thought for years that it was BPH, and was even told so by the first Uro doc I wqas seeing for 3 years. Prostate is somewhere between 44 mL and 55 mL depending on whether you believe the ultrasound

Locating a supply of medical grade cannabis in UK
I found that medical grade cannibis really helped reduce the fatigue phase of Chemo by 50%. I'm due to start Chemo again soon. I've run out of Cannibis pills and can't find a supplier. Any suggestions would be welcome. I can find Oil but no high ingredient. Hopefully before too long it will become

PBC and edible medical marijuana
I have read conflicting reports stating marijuana improves liver conditions and other reports that say it is bad for your liver. I know this is a new frontier (at least in the U.S.) but I have terrible insomnia and the cocktail of medications I am taking has never worked. I am obviously an extremely

How Safe is Active Surveillance?
New study [1] - a bit off-topic for this group. As most in the U.S. will know, the USPSTF (U.S. Preventive Services Task Force) turned against PCa screening because of over-detection & over-treatment. Perhaps as a reaction to over-treatment, we now have more men opting for active surveillance [AS]. Dr

New study below [1].
"Highlights

Bathmate anyone?
I own a bath-mate. Has anyone use this for getting their penis back in shape after a radical prostatectomy? My surgery was done laparoscopically with the robot and I feel like I probably want to start trying this sooner rather than later. I think the penis is a muscle and if you don’t exercise it it

LVA Surgery with Dr. Wei Chen
I have had two LVA (Lymphedema) surgeries with Dr. Wei Chen at the University of Iowa the past year (one 12/21 and one 6/13). He has helped me immensely. The work he has done on me and his findings with others similar to me will be included in a medical journal soon. I am early stages and even diagnostic
