Extreme fatigue. Any solution?
This is wiping me out. Honestly. It tends to start at about 5 pm and lasts for about 2/3 hours. I used to take Whey protein to counter it but this appears to not hit the spot. I’m utterly exhausted when this phenomenon strikes and am wondering if anyone has any ideas? I take B1 daily (Superior Source

Hashimotos for Sixteen Years, Realizing I Know Next to Nothing
This is a long story, and as with so much in this "we have too much info" age, I'm probably over-responding, but, I was recently blindsided by a new health condition, and I don't fancy having it happen again if there are cues available. I've had hypothyroidism/Hashimotos for 16-17 years, at least based

Switching from Levothyroxine to Liothyronine
Hello, I hope everyone is well. I haven’t written on here for a while as I’ve been feeling quite well so hope you don’t mind me coming back to you now. Although I feel good on my current dose of thyroxine and definitely don’t feel I’m taking too much, my endocrinologist wants to lower my thyroxine

Trying to follow a healthy lifestyle while on long term drug therapy
So finding my lump and realising I had Breast Cancer has taken me on a strange journey. I'm a healthy active 75 year old carer for my darling hubby. I am starting month 6 of Letrozole, have had 1 Ibandronic acid treatment and have just been taken off my Abemeciclib tablets after almost 8 weeks as

I'm an 81 year old active woman. I have suffered with RLS for over 10 years. Prescribed .088mg Pramipexole by my GP n just told to increase when I complain! I went to 5 at night but am weaning off myself with the help of 50mg Tramadol around 6pm. Down to alternating 2 or 3 at night slowly. Had bloods

Food as medicine recommendations
I am educating myself via all the posts (thank you to all the regular posters). Is there a summary anywhere or a recommended book of how to ensure you are making the most of what you eat / don’t eat? For example, I just read that I need to eat steak and chips (great news) to help support optimal ferritin

lower dose prednisone
Update Took a call from respiratory nurse an hour ago. My respiratory consultant and rheumatologist have had a discussion and decided to keep me on 10 mg of prednisone until I see rheumatologist in June instead of stopping in may as planned as it’s obviously working providing this was a connective tissue

magnesium supplements
Hi all It’s been a while since I posted on here. But I have a question regarding sleep. I have ET, Jak2, had it 7 years, and at the moment take aspirin and hydroxy. Had my telephone consultation yesterday and was pleased to hear my platelets are the lowest they’ve ever been at 355. Even though I

Is my 7 year old son hypothyroid?
My son is 7 years old and he doesn't seem to be growing enough, at least in the last year or so. I am suspecting he could be Hypothyroid because of my genes (Hashimoto's and Type 1 diabetes), so we did some blood work: hGH - 0,27 ng/mL (0,05 - 11,00) IGF-I - 74,93 ng/mL (18,00 - 307,00) TSH - 3,574

Magnesium for sleep?
Hi, Anyone know if it is safe to take magnesium to help with sleep, and if anyone has taken it if they had any good results. I've got 4 stents and take the usual after heart attack cocktail of meds, but sleep is not good at all, any advice appreciated

Cramps
Has anyone had trouble with leg cramps, especially at night? I am getting bad cramp in both ankle joints & reaching up the shin especially on right leg. It is unbearable & is impossible to sleep until it stops. I have a magnesium spray & douse both legs with it plus taking a magnesium tablet per day.

Sleeping w/out THC for the first time in 5 years

UPDATE: RLS, magnesium, calcium and hard water
Hello everyone, wanted to share my experience/thoughts. I'm a 58-yo female from the UK. I've suffered from RLS for around 20 years. I've never tried any prescription meds for this (the medications all sound quite dodgy to me as they seem to lead to dependence, and don't treat the root cause, which seems
