Is there a “recovery sheet” on what to do/not do after a cardioversion.
had first cardioversion in December 2024, which lasted 5 days. Next cardioversion is booked for next Thursday, hospital advice was rest for 24 hours, no alcohol or caffeine, no driving. After 48 hours back to normal. Any suggestions to try and prolong sinus rhythm would be appreciated

Ramipril, diarrhoea and pred
After doubling my dose of amlodipine due to my BP still being too high, I suffered from poor sleep quality - my fitbit recorded very little if any, deep sleep. I dropped back to 5mg and immediately my sleep improved. But now they've put me on ramipril 2.5mg to try, in addition to the 5mg amlodipine.

seeing neurologist, advice on b12 injections welcomed…
hi all? have been prescribed with PA. My ferritin levels are normal - 177 Vitamin D- 70. I have finished loading does for b12 last week. My last reading was 188 2 weeks ago but imagine it’s greater than 2000 now. My folate was low - 3.5. My Gp has helpfully given me folic acid 5 mg a day

Has anyone with Wet AMD then put on Eliquis for Afib seen an increase in bleeding in the eyes since being on the Eliquis?

Eliquis and Wet AMD
My mom has been getting injections for Wet AMD for 13 years. They have worked well and her vision has been stable. She was diagnosed with Afib in April and put on Eliquis. Since then she has been having more bleeding in her eyes at her eye doctor appointments. It probably didn’t occur to her to mention

General Update - I got lost in the site
Sorry everyone, I managed to get totally confused again, and I think I've posted duplicate replies, then lost other replies and now I can't find all the replies that were left for me so I think I've managed to delete them. Trouble is my hands shake so much these days that I keep pressing wrong buttons

High dose Ergocalciferol (Vit. D-2) for Osteoporosis?
Since losing my long time primary doctor last year, I am on my second doctor for advice for osteoporosis. I was reluctant to take Prolia recommended by the first D.O. doctor and the second Internist Doctor recommended 50,000 (I think IU) weekly for a couple of months. I haven't picked up the prescription

ATA Virtual Patient Forum: International Thyroid Awareness Week - Wednesday, May 29, 2024, 8pm - 9:15pm EDT
In case anyone is interested, registration appears to be open - both in they are accepting registrations AND it is open to the public. It would be interesting to find out about how useful it is. The time makes it somewhat awkward for many in the UK. I think it works out to be 01:00 in the morning

I have a question.
Does anyone's rheumatologist order a CRP HS blood test? I heard of CRP, but not this one. Is it solely for heart disease, or something to do with other diseases too like Lupus?? Mine was high.

Intrinsic Factor result
bit disappointing it didn’t come back positive., but I know they don’t always accurately reflect the underlying condition. It also means my pernicious anaemia could be due to long term use of PPIs rather than autoimmune gastritis. (By the way stopped PPIs in December last year) .
