Low O2
CAPS survivor here. Lately my O2 has been consistently between 87% -93% resting and walking. A trip to the ER the other day showed no PE and clear lungs. They want to follow up with pulmonologist but I think it's my blood flow. My lungs feel fine! I'm on warfarin. Anybody else going through this?

Two weeks after ablation and I'm on the list for a cardioversion
It's two weeks today since I had an ablation for AF. I wasn't in AF before or immediately after the procedure but felt bad on day two with racing irregular pulse, dizziness etc. I had an ecg last week which showed me to be in AF and the arrhythmia nurse has called to let me know and tell me that I've

Orgovyx and its side effects on the heart's electrical system
I've been taking Orgovyx for over two years with few side effects. But I have been experiencing episodes of dizziness and light-headedness over the last few months. My cardiologist has diagnosed bradycardia (a slow heart beat that can cause such episodes). I will need a pacemaker. I know a side effect

INR meter
Hi all, I had a stroke when I was 27 years old and 10 years later I got diagnosed with Palindromic Rheumatism, a form or Arthritis. With both, current medication is Warfarin and X is required. I feel limited about the regular INR control lead by coagulation variability. Thinking to get an INR meter

Bevacizumab v Niraparib
I've had chemo/debulking surgery/ chemo, and have just come to the end of the post surgery chemo. I've been told all along that I will continue with Bevacizumab as a maintenance treatment (I've had 3 rounds of it alongside chemo, 2 before the surgery and 1 after). I caught COVID towards the end of

chemo and genetic testing questions
My husband’s genetic testing of the biopsies came back. It’s 19 pages and I am having a super difficult time interpreting. His Oncologist Urologist is overwhelmed with duties and we probably won’t get reviewed at the level we need. attaching the executive summary. They said he tests positive for SPOP

feeling a bit overwhelmed and lost
In September 2023 I found out by chance that I had apparently been diagnosed with lupus 15-20 years ago. I haven’t been told at any point in this time by a doctor - I found out almost by accident from my GP physio. Since then my current GP has been initially verbally supportive although said they knew

a newby to Lupus
Hello folks, I was only diagnosed with lupus a few days ago, after six months of being told I have stage4 CKD, currently at 21% .Eight years ago I was diagnosed with severe anaemia by my GP, which with retrospect I think was a symptom of Lupus and the cause wasn’t looked into. I don’t have the energy

Ablation/S-ICD Recovery Time - why is it taking so long?
Bit of a long one… Hi all, I’m currently recovering from a 4 week hospital stay and struggling with the recovery period. I was admitted for investigation due to a high burden of PVCs which were making me very symptomatic. I had a previous diagnosis of low burden of PVCs, as well as mild dilated cardiomyopathy

Is the rhythm of your heart regular?
A simple pulse check only takes 30 seconds! Atrial fibrillation, also known as AF or AFib is a quivering or irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia) that can lead to an AF-related stroke or heart failure if left untreated. If you have AF, your heart beats in an irregular rhythm causing the blood to not

What is an ICM?
An Insertable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) is a small thin device that is inserted under the skin on your breastbone to record the activity of your heart. It can remain in place for up to 3 years. The device will capture and record 'episodes'. The recorded data will be collated and assessed and help to diagnose

Has anyone had medication changed from bisoprolol?
My previous posts were related to my mum and her anxiety. Mum has permanent AF. We ended up going private to see a consultant and mum had a monitor for a week to monitor her heart rate. The results did show that her heart rate was high - around 160 was the higher results. The consultant increased bisoprolol

Mum update (CBD)
Thought I had finally better give you all an update on mum. Mum had a fall back in Feb which resulted in a broken nose and slight skull fracture, still mobile unaided at this point, but with falls risk. Admitted to hospital after 24 hours in A&E, finally getting a bed in a ward. Ward then had changed
