Antidepressants and other meds
Hi all, especially Sue who I'm hoping can help. I have at last had blood tests which showed my levels were around 50, which she said wasn't that low, but I'm now on Iron 200mg a day, havibg another blood test in January. Also my sodium levels were little low so was told to use more salt on my food.

Update on LDN
A while back I posted that I would be trying low-dose naltrexone and would report the results. Here is an update after one month of LDN. I began taking 1.1mg of LDN in addition to my regular dose of prednisone. I had just tapered slowly to 12 1/2mg, taking 5mg at 2 AM. After a week I noticed no effect

Curious question ibs /ibd issue
Good morning I’m new to this website and I’m curious to know if anyone has over 10 bowel movements a day? I am under the hospital waiting for a colonoscopy so they can advise what is wrong with my stomach. My usual is between 10 to 14 times a day loose stools. 1st thing is bad also after my evening meal

Ray Peat & Thyroid Wisdom
Hi all :) I've mentioned a few times on this forum that the Keto/carnivore diet is the reason for my devastating decline into overt hypothyroidism where I became unresponsive to synthetics. Since that time, I've used this forum as well as the teachings of American physiologist Ray Peat to educate myself

Healthy normal colon at last - update on my story
Following my post nearly a year ago about the success I was having taking Sodium Butyrate I wanted to let you know that it worked! I had my colonoscopy yesterday and the whole colon is healthy with no inflammation or polyps. Seeing as I was ill for 25 yrs and was facing the prospect of having to start

blood tests and DXA scan
Following blood tests and a DXA scan I finally have results from the Endo. Re scan it states: T-scores have been reported as -1.3 at the left neck of fear and -1.9 at the lumbar spine. The calculated 10 years probability of a major osteoporotic fracture and that of a hip fracture is below intervention

blood test results
hi everyone I’m just going through my last lot of blood results.. ESR 1mm/hr Neutrophils 8.10 (2.1 - 7.4) Lymphocyte count 0.98 (1 - 3.6) Sodium 128 (should be 135+). Are these anything to be concerned about? My GP wasn’t worried - but just said he’ll recheck the sodium in December 🤔 (Apparently

Low Sodium
Yesterday I had my usual blood test as I’m on methotrexate, today I had a phone call from the Doctors Surgery to say they have made me a Doctors Appointment for tomorrow as they needed to see me urgently as apparently it showed I have low sodium levels which was fine on my last blood test in September

Radium 223 before Cabazitaxel?
This was prescribed today to manage bone pain and also because my PSA has not particularly responded to Docetaxel and the bone scan shows further cancer growth. There is some doubt as to whether more chemo will do any good. Has anyone had experience of doing things this way round? I assume I could

Blood Test Results, Help please... Second Cortisol test still showing as borderline Cushing's .
Apologies, I posted earlier, to the wrong forum... I'm just not with it. Sorry 😞 It's been a long, long time since I posted.Much as happened; too much. After years of asking about a Cortisol test and being constantly denied by the male GPs who said it was only the remit of a consultant to authorise

2nd biopsy, just started on prednisolone. Dietary help pls.
So my doctor had just started me on 25mg of prednisolone indefinitely due to the inflammation (in my kidneys?) as a result of my igA nephropathy acting more aggressively on my body. I am taking effort to abide by a low protein diet at 0.8g/protein/kg body weight per day. Aside from feeling very hungry
