low dose naltrexone
Having Crohn’s disease I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this drug and if it has proven to be effective or not? my diet is pretty limited at moment but I’m hearing that this will inhibit inflammation to allow me to open up my diet more.

The CRP:Albumin ratio & CRPC Survival
New paper from Portugal below [1]. Here is another study showing the consequences of subclinical inflammation. The inflammation markers used were C-reactive protein [CRP] & albumin. {The useful Modified Glasgow Prognostic Score uses the same markers, but in a cruder way.} It is always better

So pleased
I was told I had NASH a year last October. As a result, I was sent for a Fibroscan and my kpa reading was 36.6. My liver image looked white with fat.I have type 2 diabetes, gall stones and a hiatus hernia. I was floored by the diagnosis and stressed so much. My anxiety level went through the roof. I

Is this PMR?
Hello I'm new to this site and to the world of PMR. Hoping to get some guidance from this lovely community. My GP has diagnosed me with PMR at 42 and I'm not entirely convinced as I don't fit the symptoms of aches and stiffness in the shoulders and hips. This all started in March 23 where I woke

Asthma anxiety
Hello everyone, I am just writing a post as I wanted to see if I am alone in this and whether anyone has any suggestions to help. I will give a bit of a backstory to this. I had mild asthma from the age of 13 however it wasn't serious enough that my parents never took me to get diagnosed. Fast forward

Gluten free diet
I notice that a strictly gluten free diet is often recommended on this forum. What is the reason, and does it apply to both hyper and hypothyroidism?

Update again again again!
Hi All, I have to say I am feeling MUCH better, and I feel we are getting somewhere now! I have ME and Fibro and was going into a flare so the CRP was raised a little. I don't have any vitamins as this was an NHS test, however, I am keeping my finger crossed that we are also getting somewhere on that

working out fev1 as a percentage
Hi I've bought an asthma-1 Vitalograph FEV1 to monitor my asthma between appointments as I don't think peak flow really shows my asthma up very well. When I blow into it it just shows a number eg 3.87 , not a percentage as it doesn't measure FVC and there's no instructions in with it other than a diagram

Still don’t really know if I have asthma or not
Hi, I know I’ve posted similar to this before but I suppose it’s because I don’t know where I stand in terms of breathing/ asthma status I do also have anxiety which I’ve received help for but I still feel on edge with the whole I might have asthma thing. I have had tests which haven’t revealed anything
