Spirononolactone and Dapaglifloxin.
In my copy of a letter from my EP to my GP he has suggested that I should start taking the above 2 medications. This has not been discussed with me despite a 6 monthly phone call with my EP a couple of weeks ago! I will be talking to my GP about this proposal but wondered if anyone else had experience

Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (PoTS) in 68 year old woman?
I have had L*** C**** for over 18 months including loss of smell and breathlessness, plus raised BP and now what appears to be PoTS on standing up, with HR over 125 (DIY diagnosis at HR rises 30 points on standing). I have had clear lung X-rays, an echocardiogram which was good, and phone appointment

AF anxious newbie
I was diagnosed with AF in December, put on biosopol, losartan & apaxiban then had a CV in feb which worked for 3 months. Another CV scheduled at start of sept and given flecainide. Unfortunately the 2nd CV didn’t go according to plan and I went into cardiac arrest. Apparently I was “ down” for 6 mins

B1 and High Blood Pressure
My family member with Parkinson's has high blood pressure which even with Losartan is not as controlled as we would like it. I was encouraged reading the posts here about how B1 has helped some of those here with PD. In doing research on B1 I see that increasing blood pressure could be a side effect.

Ranexa 375 mg prolonged-release Tablets \ Ranolazine 375 mg. Has anybody had any adverse effect from this medication.
My angina has recently become unstable. I did encourage my to GP to increase my dose of Ranolazine 375 mg to 500 mg. This caused continuous severe angina to such an extent I had to go to A & E, as having a good three double blasts of my GTN spray no angina relief had happened. A few hours later, after

GP's referral rejected by Hospital
In 2017 I was diagnosed with mild left ventricular diastolic disfunction and prescribed a beta blocker plus Losartan. I have recently had blood tests taken and my age related NT BnP is raised and my BNP is 430pg/mL. When seeing this, my GP referred me for an echocardiogram which was triaged by the Hospital

Labile BP
I have been on meds for high BP for about 20yrs. Then suddenly 18mths ago my BP started to fluctuate, I.e. AM before getting out of bed was 169/100 and then by 10AM could be as low as 75/50. This didn’t last for long, but obviously felt very dizzy, light headed, sick etc. I would sit down and wait for

Losartan/Furosemide?
Hello again, just received this month's prescription with 3 notes from Pharmacy saying "Losartan tabs 25mg interacts with Furosemide tabs 40 mg with the following effect: Hypotensive effect enhanced"The BNF lists this as a serious interaction.i s this why my BP is usually mid 140-150's?

Frustrating Lupus
Hi everyone, I have been reading lots of posts Lupus related, reading patients stories and symptoms to see if there is anything I missed to see.My Lupus has been quite active lately, sun light has a big role in triggering symptoms. Working in a building site is not helping either so I’ve had to take

Fatigue
Does anyone else suffer with extreme tiredness even after sleeping well all night? I have felt tired all the time recently . I am 71 years old and have been in permanent AF for some years and chose not to go down the ablation route. I have been putting it down to the heat but not sure it is. I take

Losartan Side Effects
Hi everyone, Was wondering if any of you taking losartan for proteinuria experience debilitating muscle pain from it. I've taken it for a year for proteinuria (was at 1700 now around 500) and it helped great with that, but I have terrible muscle and joint pain at least half the day in shoulders, arms

pre-diabetic
hello. I’ve been told that my blood sugar is slightly high — borderline— which makes me pre-diabetic. Doctor says nothing to worry about as it’s just on the border (44 instead of 43). I’m wondering if this could be brought on by heart meds — bisoprol, amliopodine, Losartan, atorvastatin, ticagrelor

Any experience with taking Ibrutinib with Eliquis?
I'm taking Eliquis because of blood clots and Losartan for high BP. Tomorrow I'm scheduled to start 420 mg Ibrutinib. I'm concerned about possible interactions of these 3 drugs. Has anyone taken these 3 and had any side effects as a result? Thanks.
