The gp replaced ramapril with losartan when I complained about dry cough , which is still there but I will try for few weeks before discussing again with gp . For dry skin they recommended using moisturiser

I have found that with dry skin that is deteriorating or flaking off. I need to apply E45 liberally SEVERAL times a day for a couple of weeks in order to stop it worsening.Legs have been the worst but now my back is flaking and itchy so I am applying cream liberally to that area. But you may need to discuss your symptoms with your GP.
I have just had another thought what you are using to wash with in the shower as soap can dry the skin out and I know they have things that you can use as an alternative your Doctor can prescribe them or if they think it would be cheaper and you can buy it over the counter they will suggest the best one to use
It could help and wot a try if you are not already doing so x
I'm taking most of the tablets you are and had the same problem with very dry skin.
Someone on here recommended Cerave moisturizer and it worked miracles for me . The dry skin stopped almost immediately. I use it twice a day and it soaks in straight away and isn't greasy at all. Not cheap at 16 quid for a big tub, but lasts a good month.
I would check with your doctor sooner rather than later. I was phoned by the Cardiac centre a few weeks after my angioplasty to check that I didn't have flaky or itching skin on my back as it can indicate burns from the X-Ray. Don't know if the treatment would be any different to ordinary dry skin, but it's best to know.
As for elsewhere on my body, I get flaking but not itching and can't remember if I used to get that before I was put on the cocktail of drugs
Rather than a moisturiser try an emollient instead, your GP may give a prescription for Hydramol but I find it more like axle grease. E45 do a bath oil which you add when you have a bath but I find the Aveeno Shower Cream good followed up with their Daily Emollient that you can use without having a bath or shower.
