I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem adjusting to blood pressure medicine.I’ve was prescribed Ramipril a while ago,but I couldn’t take it as it made me cough so much I couldn’t sleep at night.I then came of them and stayed of for a while, but my blood pressure is too high, and my Doctor suggested Losartan which I’ve been on for a little over a week..but they made me feel really bad ,breathless and dizzy and Friday evening I had diarrhoea with blood in it so got really scared phoned NHS and they told me to stop the medicine. Also they made my blood pressure go much higher so now I don’t know what to do.Is it normal that you should get bad side effect taking this kind of medicine?
Thank you very much for reading this and hope to get some advise🙏🏻

good question. I am on lisinopril and spironolactone to lower blood pressure. But a feel edgy. Shaky. Nervouse. The blood pressure is coming down nicely. But I don't know if it the medication. Me ,anxiety. Or just everything taking a toll, Can lowering blood pressure cause anxiety symptoms.
hello I’m given amlodipine for blood pressure, I don’t think I have had side effects. It’s been ok in controlling BP but I can get spikes now and again (like first thing in mornings)
I was on Ramipril for a couple of months but had a really bad cough with it. I have been on Losartan (50mg) for a few years and haven't suffered any symptoms at all. But, everyone is different and I would discuss it with your doctor.
I was on 10ml ramipril for a number of years made me feel un well for most of the day. Came off it 3 years ago for 50ml losartan felt better in day but blood pressure still too high put on 100ml but got dizzy spells and vertigo doctor said stay with it they should ease as blood pressure still high.
