Liver inflammation
Hi. Quit drinking 2 weeks ago. Was heavy abuser. Fatigue is gone but have right shoulder discomfort/mild pain and occasional right abdomen and mid-back discomfort. Other than sleep issues no other noticeable symptoms right now. Afraid of cirrhosis and cancer. Going to see a doctor in 2 weeks. My question

Fall: the verb not the noun
I would like to talk about/hear about how you deal with falling. I have fallen quite a few times recently. Mostly due to exhaustion and sometimes due to humidity. thank goodness no injuries but it is becoming an issue. Does this mean it's time to consider a wheel chair? Is this a preview of things to

Diabetes and liver damage
Hi again sorry for the barrage of questions. Alongside thinking I have cirrhosis I have also recently been diagnosed with diabetes. My question is - will I find it much harder to bring my diabetes under control if I have a damaged liver?

Follow up on my liver cancer HCC
Hi all, I have been on the craziest rollercoaster ride since January 2022. Had resection May 28, 2021. My cancer came back 8 months after surgery. Was referred to have a liver transplant evaluation. My case looked very promising to get a liver. Had to do a lot of prep including testing and interviews

Transplant assessment at the Royal Free
My partner is due to go for 2 day transplant assessment at the RF at the start of Aug. Cirrhosis due to alcohol - detoxed and remained alcohol free at first presentation of symptoms over 6 months now, engaging with external support and alcohol nurse. He has had a lot of tests done at our local liver

Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction Type 1 with cirrhosis of the liver
I had an Endoscopic ultrasound on Tuesday where they confirmed I have Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction (SOD) Type 1. Last week I was diagnosed with cirrhosis with a score of 22.5. I'm still not sure what this score really means except I'm in the risk category (20-25). A score over 25 is high risk. I'm a

Advice please
I’m currently on holiday so away from my GP Surgery. On 1st July I started having whooshes of the bottom. Despite eating bland food, I am easily having to dash to the toilet at least twice an hour. Tried taking Imodium seems to work for 4 hours then I am back to square one. ðŸ˜needless to say all my muscles

Planned c section vs induction?
Hello lovely people. I am 38 weeks pregnant tomorrow and all going well. I have gone from a high risk pregnancy (Placenta Previa which moved) to low risk, except my age. For months all midwives and consultants were telling me I'd need to have an induction and have baby before 40 wks due to my age (43

How long were your liver enzymes elevated before diagnosis
So it’s been years of high liver enzymes for me 9 to be exact. I have a history of Hep A that cleared. My maternal aunt has PBC and my drs say it’s just most likely a matter of time before I get it. Right now my ALP is normal my auto immune markers normal just slightly elevated AST and ALT

Cirrhosis again
Hi everyone, I’m just a bit worried about my liver. I had a transplant 4 years ago and all was well until recently. I have ascites again. Spironolactone isn’t working for me.
