How long were your liver enzymes elevated before diagnosis

So it’s been years of high liver enzymes for me 9 to be exact. I have a history of Hep A that cleared. My maternal aunt has PBC and my drs say it’s just most likely a matter of time before I get it. Right now my ALP is normal my auto immune markers normal just slightly elevated AST and ALT

Not something I have any experience of but I wonder how old you are.It good that you are regularly checked.

I’m 36 my aunt got diagnosed at 77 my grandmother we believe had it at 66

I sincerely hope you have a long way to go before PBC switches on and before you have a lifetime of medication. Best wishes to you

I also had Hep A at some point (antibodies indicated) but never recall being very sick from it. Liver enzymes have been high for 4 years (that I know of) and last week my M2 antibodies were positive, so PBC here I come 🤦‍♀️ I’m 36 as well. Hoping you continue to stay well! I’m sure you do, but watch those numbers!

Sorry your going through this. Have your enzymes been slightly high or very high? I hope you continue to stay well as well. My antibodies were done in 2021 during pregnancy they showed borderline normal

My Alk Phos was elevated in 2015. Normal in 2016 and elevated in 2017. I was diagnosed at that time.
