Liver lesion op.
Hi everyone I have finally had the lesion on my liver removed. Went OK and I feel surprisingly well after a 4 hour op. Only problem is I have to wait 4-6 weeks for the biopsy results. The surgeon said they also found a cavity where my gall bladder meets my bowel, had my gall bladder removed last

Hello I wondered if anyone has had a Fibroscan result like mine - 349 CAP and 13.9 Kpa ? I’m very overweight but not much of a drinker and really worried the prognosis will be dire - I’ve a long wait before seeing a consultant. Does anyone know of this is likely to be cirrhosis and irreversible or

Tuesday's Tip
[i]
According to Dr. Jones' book sometimes people will stop taking their Urso because their liver function tests have returned to normal. If your liver enzymes have returned to the normal range it just means that the Urso is working. The PBC isn't cured - it is just controlled.

I find this helpful
I have talked to two people about alcohol use and they both had a physician tell them that they typically increase the amount a paticient reports to 2 to 4 times the amount reported because people lie about their alcohol intake. This also happened to me my liver function was low and I was told that

CAP score and kPa
Hi allCan anyone shed light on the following please? I had a fibroscan in early May, following a series of irregular blood results. My GP described them as elevated but unremarkable. In mid July, having chased the result for weeks, a doctor rang me to say that I would need to be treated as a patient

Liver pain?
I was diagnosed with compensated liver cirrhosis 7 weeks ago. My blood work and ultrasound look ok. I have been having these sharp pains in my liver area and sometimes on my left side also. It only lasts 10 seconds or so. My specialist says its not a symptom of cirrhosis. She says it could be stress
