Hi all. My partner has been up and about for about a week, following an extended time in bed. Difficulty with Doctors - Fatty liver with symptoms
Hi Everyone, I posted on here a couple of months ago and had some good advice and i also called the BLT helpline who said that the issue needs looking into further but my gp is unwilling to look any further. My most recent blood tests seem really good with nothing out of range, ALT-13, Albumin - 44

Hubby referred for transplant đ
So finally today we had our face to face with hubbyâs liver specialist after a lot of inconsistent care and back and forth to the hospital and drs. We finally got to see someone that actually knows my husband and she was genuinely shocked at his deterioration. She had not seen him for 14 months. After

Lots of you mention being diagnosed through a biopsy. Ive never had one , they decided my staging through the ascites. Just interested in the different process.

Level 3 fibrosis, what to expect now
I had hep c for 36 years and cleared it last year with treatment. My fibroscan showed 11.5 severe fibrosis level 3. Got another one to go to and worried what it will show. Can this be reversed or stopped or should i expect it to be further along?

HCC patient complaining of frequent 'poking' sensation above liver
Hi all! Hope this finds everyone doing well. My dad's oncologist always says that everything is 'due to the disease' but, for the past few days, he's complaining of this frequent poking sensation above his liver. Not pain, but poking is how he describes it. He has undergone his first Y90 two months ago

Anyone who has Netflix may have seen this American documentary entitled, âThe Surgeons Cutâ. Those who are interested in this type of thing, maybe interested in episode 3 of the series. Fluttering feeling on my upper right side
I am a male, 36 years old, fit (on the skinny side). I started drinking when I was about 18. I would go out with friends and we would get pretty drunk on the week ends. I couldnât tell how much we drank really, it varied a lot, sometimes it was just a few beers and sometimes it was a lot more. The frequency

Any advice for my Fiance, 27, Cirrhosis
Hello, My fiance was diagnosed last year with cirrhosis. It's a genetic disease he has. We are now waiting on the list for a transplant but due to current events with covid, things are taking a little longer than usual. My fiance's problem is getting worse, the pain is unbearable and it hurts me to see

TRAVELLING ABROAD, POST LIVER TRANSPLANT.
Hello there everyone. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with health insurance while travelling to America and other places where insurance is extremely expensive and sometimes extortionately so. I received a list of recommended providers from the administrators on here but I seemed to

Does anyone think/know that certain medications eg Omoparazole contribute to a fatty liver
I'm new here, I got diagnosed with fatty liver around 6 years ago but was told it was mild (but not what grade?) I work in the music industry particularly DJing so its hard to not drink being around it so often (and its free!) I have cut down since then though even more so the past year since the pandemic

Questions about the ventilator? Itâs very hard to get to speak to the doctors so if anyone has any thoughts
So my relative is now on 30% oxygen has a peep of 5 and the pressure is 15 and saturating between 87 and 91 on the ventilator. So far so good however I just want to know what these figures mean? The hospital did say they are initiating the breathes and they are on a low setting on the ventilator but
