Interaction of Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)
Just wondered if anyone had positive or negative experiences of taking Baking Soda to reduce acidity or other ailment; in particular any interaction with Flecainide or supplements such as Mg & CoQ10. I am trying to improve my digestive system but don't want to cause other problems.

If you have IBS-D or regular diarrhea, read this
I have not used this personally, but I wanted to pass on this recommendation that I just found on another forum and that is apparently really helping other IBS-D sufferers: Have you tried calcium carbonate to help with your diarrhoea? It is an over-the-counter mineral supplement (not to be confused with

This is how I should have put my first post on my RA. Sorry if I offended anyone .so I started my journey of healing around xmas 2015 and was in a bad way. I work 6 days per week and was exhausted all the time through the pain. I stumbled on a friend telling me to try bicarbonate of soda and it was amazing

Birth plan and meds...
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had a good birth plan template to use (following experience of PP) - I can't really find anything. I had baby boy at 39 weeks, mild PND. Then baby girl at 27 weeks, full blown PP and went to MBU in Birmingham (live in Cornwall!). I've been on lithium for bipolar for

Homemade Bread
I know lot's of you have cut out bread or try to have low GI diet. However Zest has been posting about bread and as I love baking the odd loaf I wanted to join in. Even if you give the bread away I would say it's worth doing for enjoyability! This is a loaf of soda bread I made the other week.

Potassium Deficiency From Steroid Therapy
I recently suffered from hypokalemia (potassium deficiency) as a result of methylprednisolone therapy for PMR, and required approximately 4500 mg of potassium each day to prevent muscle fatigue and cardiac arrhythmia.
