Lithium?
I have been really irritable the last year or so. My doctor suggested taking Lithium for the irritability. Trying to weigh the Pro's and Con's. Is anyone or has anyone been on this medication? Would love to hear your experiences!

I don't think I will ever be happy...
Hi... I just joined this site. I don't know what I expect to gain as there is no magic button anyone can press to make it all go away and unlock my door to a decent, enjoyable life but I am getting to a point of feeling really suicidal lately and they say when you think like that you should reach out

Severe spasms in chest, under rib cage and back
Hello All, It's been nearly 4 months since my first Laparoscopy and I have experienced trapped wind/gas in my chest, under my rib cage and back (upper and lower both), after the operation for about two weeks, which I assumed was normal and due to the gas they put inside your tummy during the operation

Baking Soda for CKD
Has anybody else seen this article about baking soda and CKD https://www.nhs.uk/news/medication/baking-soda-for-kidney-patients/ 3. Who said running is good for me...?
Set myself the goal of running 14km this morning and got out the door bright and early and full of enthusiasm. After an initial problem with a gremlin sabotaging my playlist, by the end of my 5 minute walk I had got it sorted and was off. I was quite excited to try a new branch to a previous route,

So, I’m seriously considering micro-dosing of lithium. Anyone been down this path, i.e., any of you die from this?

Medications that can affect thyroid function
FYI. Izabella Wentz recently sent out an article listing the 9 medications she believes are the most common thyroid disruptors. Those are: lithium, amiodarone, fluoride, HRT/estrogen, Proton Pump Inhibitors, Interferon, Accutane, Iodine (excess), Botox. I have previously heard that beta-blockers

Mood stabiliser
Hi all, I have recently suffered a bi polar episode and am now taking olanzapine as a mood stabiliser. I put on a lot of weight previously which made me feel quite depressed. What’s everyone’s view on an alternative. I’m considering lithium and Quetiapine. Any advice on those or others would be most

Need help dealing with a bipolar sibling
My brother was diagnosed with bipolar a few years ago after coming out of a year-long depression that he fell into after having to get open-heart surgery (at age 28) to correct a previously undiagnosed congenital heart defect. Prior to the surgery, he held an office job in the tech industry, saved money

Lithium in late pregnancy
Hi everyone 👋 My doctor has suggested taking lithium and haloperidol from 7 months pregnancy, to reduce the risk of PP. I was up for it, but now I’m 20 weeks I’m starting to feel differently. I’d prefer to take haloperidol and start lithium after the birth. I understand that Lithium means I can’t
