Xtandi can fuel spread of bone tumours in advanced prostate cancer?
I've been taking Xtandi for two months now and my PSA has continued to go down, however, I'm definitely getting more pain from a tumour on my back below my shoulder blade. It's gone from being just uncomfortable to now needing to take some painkillers before I go to bed otherwise it's too painful to

Weaning off painkillers
Had hip replacement 6 weeks ago.On 1000mg paracetemol and 60mg codeine 4 times a day pain relief. Had no advice about how long I should take this medication or how to manage coming off it. Would love a drink at Christmas. How long should I be on painkillers and can I get off them this week?

Mentally draining
I am just so sick of this, of putting up with excruciating pain. When I'm on my period is when I get the pain. It lasted for about 4 days, I passed out the other night as the stabbing pain was so intense. I started with chills and sweats and everything turned blurry, I leaned on the wall and felt my

Advice after possible Covid
I had a weird return of inner knee
pain
which nearly caused my
leg
to buckle underneath me - I've not had that since I was diagnosed seven years ago. So disappointing given how mostly well I was feeling before getting this virus.

RLS and antidepressants
I’d be grateful for advice on this, as I feel I would benefit from an antidepressant. I’ve had RLS for decades, getting gradually more of a nuisance in the last 10 years or so, and have taken Codeine 30mg for several years, which helps to an extent, sometimes! I know antidepressants make RLS worse. I

I've been getting a lot of
leg
and feet cramp and this cramp like
pain
also affects my neck and boy is that sore. So, can anyone tell me if I should wear 'flight socks' given this cramp situation seeing as it's going to be a helluva long flight and a lot of waiting in between flights too?

Neck and Shoulder pain. Bad at night, getting little sleep.
I have neck and shoulder pain which radiates down my arms. The only painkiller I can take is paracetamol as I take warfarin. The GP says it's due to taking Levothyroxine for an underactive thyroid. I've been taking both medications for over 10 years and woder about long term use. The pain is constant

Bye Bye Tramadol
Since I started methadone a couple months ago, I understand better about the difficulties I started to have with Tramadol. BTW, I went cold turkey off Tramadol, because methadone would negate it anyway. I realize now that after 4-5 years on Tramadol I was augmenting badly. I didn't realize what was

Binaural Beats: Ditch the Theta Waves!
[u]
Somebody on FB warned me that PwP probably should not be amping up their theta waves as their theta waves were already amped up. I dug into this and they seem to be correct, so please ditch any theta wave (6 Hz) Binaural Beats you have downloaded.

Hip/leg pain
2 months post op and my pains aren’t great surrounding my periods. I get cramping which has always been my normal but alongside this, I’ve had a lot of pain when needing to go to the toilet. I was told I have bowel endo but that they removed it all. Was hoping to have some time without pain. Along with

Leg
pain
in summer the last 4 years I just realized is due to the meds. Any advice on managing the misery? I take 2(140) pills with dinner and wake up about nine hrs later with terrible burning ache. Maybe I’ll try taking it with lunch and drink more liquids after the dose?? Thx

How do you get taken seriously when 'You look well"
How do you get medical professionals to see that you feel absolutely awful-when you look well? Nothing about me looks as if Im sick and I plod on. But Ive got long term gastritis/IBS/GERD and at present, seem to be stuck in an unending loop of pain and IBS symptoms which vary all the time and have

Buprenorphine finished. What alternative opiates are available?
After four weeks of insomnia and continued PLMs on 15 mgc patches, I shall abandon the treatment. I’d be grateful for advice on a.) potential withdrawal issues, and b.) alternative opiates.
