Confusing Rheumatology Appointment Today
It's a natural product that works like
Leflunomide
, Azathioprine, and Methhotrexate, but does not negatively impact your immune system. I cant find it, no matter how I try to spell it! Is anyone familiar with it? Baffled in Brighton

Advice on meds that are prescribed with Pred
I’m also on
Leflunomide
20mg per day and Amitriptyline 20mg in the evening. Apart from the Amitriptyline, I take everything else first thing in the morning at breakfast, it seems an awful lot of pills to take in one go! Am I right in doing that?

Just feeling so very low
My treatment regime has been fairly standard: oral MTX then injections due to constant nausea, then sulfasalazine and now sulfasalazine and
leflunomide
along with reducing dose of prednisolone. Long story short, nothing is helping.

Adalimumab injection for RA
Methotrexate didn't work, just got horrible side effects and I'm not on sulfasalazine and
leflunomide
for it. I'm taking gabapentin for fibro.. thing is I've not started taking a fortnightly injection of amgevita which is a similar to humira. Is anyone on this???

Latest news on getting the specialist to listen and on shoulder replacement.
The result is that I will be coming off Methotrexate and going on to
Leflunomide
after I have settled down from my upcoming operation. I am also going to have ultrasound scans on my feet and hands.

MRI update on left knee
Left knee has continued to be painful and I don’t feel my drug cocktail (pred,
leflunomide
and hydroxychloroquine ) is working. Saw my rheumatologist yesterday and she is confused by my symptoms.

ESR blood levels.
I’ve been on
leflunomide
for 6 months now, initially it was fantastic and there was a drastic reduction in my esr levels. After a couple of months they increased again and I was in more pain.

Weird Nerve Pain all over at different times. RA or Medicine to blame?
or is it
leflunomide
side effects? Anyone know? I have been on LeFL for about two months now and I am very sensitive to meds of all kinds. However this med seems to be helping keep pain managable.

Newcomer: advice needed on Pred
He then put me on 10mg daily of
Leflunomide
which he said some patients respond well to. Idea being it suppresses the immune system so that it stops attacking the body.

Adalimumab and leflunomide
Hi just been to rheumatology I currently take sulfa and
leflunomide
(Arava). Still getting bad flares so they are suggesting above biologics. I'm scared to be honest as it's says on google bad combination. I can't tolerate methotrexate.

Recent Consultant appointment
As I'm on Biologics, he has recommended that I stop taking my
Leflunomide
due to the amount of other medication that I take. He feels that this can also create other problems such as high blood pressure which I have and skin problems other than Psoriasis. We shall see how I get on!

Gel/cream for arthritis
I’ve been told after X-ray I don’t have OA but the discomfort in my knees isn’t being helped by prednisolone (currently on 8/7mg), hydroxychloroquine or
leflunomide
! A great cocktail so before I stop taking the latter two I thought I’d try the gel and see if it benefits me.
