Ongoing knee pain
I feel frustrated that despite having taken hydroxychloroquine for nearly a year and
leflunomide
for 7 months (4 months at 10mg and past three months at 20mg) trying to taper my prednisolone I don’t feel I’ve experienced any great improvement. My left knee continues to cause me problems.

Are the drugs working?
I also wanted to update on the
Leflunomide
- I'm not noticing any miraculous changes yet and wondering if its still too soon !? I'm not going to reduce my pred (5mg a day) until the Leflu has kicked in.

Methotrexate. To have or not to have? That is the question.
Rheumy dismissed
Leflunomide
although I don’t really want to take that either. I have a complicated medical history and am on eight other medications and I really don’t want any more drugs!

Methotrexate done... now about the try Leflunomide
Rheumy had now prescribed
Leflunomide
. Has anyone tried it and can offer any comforting words? I've been looking at the packet for a week worrying about the side effects. Sadly the MTX was causing my liver to have some issues and apparently
Leflunomide
is slightly less toxic to the liver.

Hi folks, I was started on
leflunomide
about 8 weeks ago and I am sure you will all think I am crazy but has anyone noticed that they suddenly have a lot more wrinkles and lines while taking this, I have even had a couple of family members comment on it, the nearest I can come when trying to find anything

Anyone taking leflunomide (ARAVA) for PMR?
Has anyone taken
leflunomide
(ARAVA) as a Methotrexate substitute? I didn't do very well on Mtx. so my rheumy ordered
leflunomide
. The bottle is sitting on the counter as I am hesitant to start taking it.

Tired of sick.
I was taken off
leflunomide
bc of the side effects, low white blood cells. I'm not on any RA meds at this time, but taking Diclofenac for pain and swelling, duloxitene for fibro and Valium for anxiety and to help me rest.Waiting until Aug appt to see what we'll do.

My RA has been quite well controlled the past couple of years on etanercept and
leflunomide
but since temporal arteritis diagnosis in march these were stopped and am now on prednisolone and tocilizumab.

Normal blood test results mean poor DAS28 score & no biologic. In pain and treatment ineffective
They said they would see if I could be transferred to
Leflunomide
as this could be a possible alternative to Methotrexat and might not cause headaches and will get back to me. However I am sceptical that this will help.

Recently diagnosed with GCA
However, i had a bad flare up a month ago, saw the rheumo who decided to introduce
leflunomide
. All well and good, but the new med has horrible side effects Inc violent diarrhoea. Steroids have made me fat and fed up. And at the time of writing, that's what i am. Just needed to let off steam.

Golimumab and leflunomide
I inject golimumab monthly and take 20mg
leflunomide
daily for psoriatic and osteoporosis. Also drugs alingside these because of the side effects. I've only been on golimumab for 6 months after benepali failed for some reason. 7 months ago I lost my dad and soulmate.

Flare on Actemra
I’ve had monthly Actemra infusions since December and added
leflunomide
in February for primary diagnosis of PMR, secondary RA due to positive CCP test. (I was misdiagnosed as RA only for 2 years, finally figured out a year ago, so a 3 year journey thus far.
