RA and Amgevita

Hi all, I've got rheumatoid arthritis, I've had it for years. After a major OP last year (which I talked on here and had lovely support) the trauma to my body set of RA more and I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Methotrexate didn't work, just got horrible side effects and I'm not on sulfasalazine and leflunomide for it. I'm taking gabapentin for fibro.. thing is I've not started taking a fortnightly injection of amgevita which is a similar to humira. Is anyone on this??? Is it helping or do you just have crap side effects like me? Sinus issues, worst headaches just horrible cold.🙄 aching badly.. so fed up of myself .. xx

Hi, I have rheumatoid arthritis and I’m on Sulfasalazine and a fortnightly injection of Amgevita. I’ve been on the Sulfasalazine for about 5 years and have had no side effects at all. I’ve only been on Amgevita for about 5 months and have no side effects for this either but it has really improved my arthritis. I still get very tired and can’t overdo stuff but it’s been great for me. I’ve tried Methotrexate, Leflunomide and a few others and had terrible side effects from these. I’d ask your Rheumatologist to try something new if the injection making you feel rubbish. Hope you feel better soon xx
