No been on them 3 years with no side effects. I don’t think a gum boil is a common side effect from Leflunomide.

Oh my goodness, that must have been painful. I've been on Leflunomide (with MTX) for 10 years and although I have a sore mouth due to Sjogren's Syndrome, I've never had a gum boil.

I haven't had any side effects, been on it about seven years. I do get ulcers on my gums now and then and I take folic supplements.

Have a look at the British National Formulary (BNF) for side effects etc.
