A Possible LDL Cholesterol and CLL connection
I have an appointment with my oncologist in a few weeks and plan to bring up the referenced article on a possible
LDL
and CLL connection. Am going to ask for a baseline
LDL
blood test and whether it might make sense for me to try a statin drug to better control my CLL.

Blood test results for my Mom. Please may I ask for help reviewing them given her suspected heart attack some weeks back. Thankyou.
May I ask the expertly knowledgeable folk on this site to please assess my mothers recent blood tests results - post a suspected heart attack. We are in a very difficult situation. Our GP practice is deteriorating at a rate of knots! They are drastically short of doctors. The practice has quietly amalgamated

Low dose naltrexone
Hi, does anyone take LDN for Rheumatoid Arthritis? And if you do has it worked for you? I’m currently on sulphasalazine but thinking I might need to go on methotrexate as it’s not working that well. Just researching it as I’m fairly new to it all and LDN popped up as something that can be taken for RA

High Cholesterol - Live Longer
People with high cholesterol generally live longer. If you must worry about your cholesterol jeep your Trig's low and your HDL high and forget the rest. https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2019/09/02/higher-cholesterol-is-associated-with-longer-life.aspx?utm_source=dnl&utm_medium=email

Triglycerides to HDL ratio
Hi, I've just been reading that a low triglyceride/hdl ratio can indicate that you have good insulin sensitivity and relatively large, less harmful
LDL
particles. Does anyone know if this is true?

Update on Labs
As a result of some of the helpful comments from fellow warriors I began tracking the blood levels below in addition to my compulsive monthly focus on PSA. The oncologist has had me getting a comprehensive metabolic test every 2 weeks for the first 3 months on Zytiga to see how it affects the kidneys

Why LDL cholesterol goes up on LCHF diet and is it bad for health?
Following LCHF diets raises HDL level, lowers triglyceride, lowers insulin and increases
LDL
cholesterol. While first three are considered beneficial, there is concern about high level of
LDL
cholesterol.

3 month post CABG bloodwork is....odd.
Total- 137 - 135
LDL
- 80 to 70 HDL- 37.3 to 38.2 (this is a bugger) Triglycerides- 98 to 135 VLDL - 20 to 27 So, a mixture of good and not so good. My CABG hasn't allowed me strenuous exercise so I'm wondering if that's raising my triglycerides. I've lost weight so that's not it.
