While LDH can be an indicator of CLL tumour growth (or at far higher levels, Richter's Transformation), a higher reading can also be due to difficulties taking your blood or poor handling of your blood sample. The higher internal LDH concentration within cells broken by poor handling increases the plasma concentration. It can also jump around somewhat from test to test. I wouldn't be too concerned about your higher reading unless it continues to climb. Your results are both within the reference range - roughly 140 to 280.

My LDH levels have fluctuated widely over the past 2.5 years, with no treatment.
The lab now reports this value as LD Total, with a normal reference range of 125-220 U/L.
From December 2016 to April 2019, my results have been:
586; 439; 613; 235; 385; 362; 373; 267--most recent.
Again, I have had no CLL treatment.
Best wishes to you from Mary
It can bounce around. Keep watching the overall trend. Mine has bounced around but was going up as my disease got worst. It got to 1600 before treatment for me,
Be well,

Hello! I am coming due for labs that I have been putting off. Very nervous as my LDH was very elevated in April. How are you doing on treatment and have your LDH levels gone down with treatment ? Thanks for any info you can provide.
I was up to about 1600 then started treatment and it went down nicely to now under 200. I am on a Imbruvica plus venetoclax trial that has gone very well. See my past posts. I am on the captivate trial out of UC San Diego.
Be well,
Hoffy
My husband once nearly doubled his the day following a 20 mile training run so I can tell you LDH is very sensitive to hard exercise. It was normal the following month when he tested again.
