Hi, does anyone take LDN for Rheumatoid Arthritis? And if you do has it worked for you? I’m currently on sulphasalazine but thinking I might need to go on methotrexate as it’s not working that well. Just researching it as I’m fairly new to it all and LDN popped up as something that can be taken for RA. TIA
Low dose naltrexone : Hi, does anyone take... - Arthritis Action
Low dose naltrexone
I now take Cosentyx. Speak to your Consultant. This med does not work for everyone.
Hi started with sulphasalazine but didn’t have a good uptake to it so was changed to methotrexate. I can’t say that I notice any side effects of MTX, but obviously have to be wary of using increased hand-hygiene techniques and keep in mind possibility of catching infections easier. It hasn’t had a negative impact on my life and has made a difference to the quality of it.
Yes, I take LDN with mtx for RA. It seems to decrease the level of pain.
Hi Quirky1. I have been on low dose naltrexone 1.5 mg for severe low back pain. It has been a Godsend for me. It has even helped my stomach issues. I have lymphocytic colitis and I can't take non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs. I use to take things like naproxen but they contributed to my stomach issues that I currently have. I was on Omeprazole. Since I have been on LDN, I no longer have to take omeprazole. I get it made up at a compound pharmacy and I am so thankful for this medication. I don't have any side effects. A lot of doctors don't even know about it and are not willing to educate themselves regarding it. I hope in some way this has helped you. Feel free to ask me any questions. 💞
