26 yo, can you help me?
My cholesterol HDL is 24 mg/dL ,
LDL
is 170 mg/dL, and my total cholesterol/HDL ratio is 8.8:1. Is it really bad? Can it be a coronary artery disease? Anyway, tomorrow I get the results from my Holter that I did last Wednesday. So you guys have any similar experience?

Heart disease, LP(a) and spinach etc and blood clots
I’m obviously more concerned now than I was now that I know I have LP(a) which is twice as sticky as
LDL
and clots much faster …. Anyone have any idea about this?

Advice on statins and vascular atheroma please
Apologies it is quite old and has possibly been posted before but it has a good explanation of
LDL
and HDL and although it does not rule out statins it does make the case quite strongly for borderline thyroid conditions to be treated.

GP won't raise my Levothyroxine
I had elevated BP, high
LDL
levels and I then had an Hba1c test which showed I was now pre-diabetic. I had been checking for this, as it runs in my family. The GP missed the pre-diabetes and I was told "normal".

Most recent fasting blood test showed total cholesterol at 2.4 mol/L; HDL 0.75 mol/L and
LDL
1.01 mol/L. Has anyone out there experienced these effects from statins?.

Cholesterol best values, latest scientific studies
I have total cholesterol at 250, HDl at 60 and
LDl
at 190, triglycerides at 100, (values corresponding to Spain). The latest scientific studies say that I have very good values to live many years but the doctors say that I am very bad and I have to take statins.
