Living with Crohn's over 30 years
I was diagnosed with Crohn's in 1985. I was about 16 years old and I had never heard of it before. Admitted to the hospital I was bleeding internally, had lost 30 pounds and was down to 104. I was not allowed to have food or water, Only through IV. This was a 3 month hospital stay. After I was sent

Inflammation only on right-side of body? With Hashimoto.
Hi everyone, Does anyone experience inflammation only on one side of their body with Hashimoto? The left side of my body may only get very, very slight inflammation every now and then but the right-side of my body becomes so inflamed and painful; mainly my leg, hip and arm and then some in my face too

Steroids impacting blood results?
Hi there, I’m new here and am currently on the merry-go-round of trying to find a diagnosis for long-term chronic health issues. (Chronic debilitating fatigue, joint pain, cognitive dysfunction, plus whole host of other weird stuff). Currently under the care of an endocrinologist and a very good GP

Do not know what to do..
I’ve been taking statins for the last 3 years due to high cholesterol so did some research and found that as well as lowering your
LDL
, statins also lower your CReactive protein, which is apparently an inflammation marker.

How often should we have erythropoietin and LDH checked?
Hi there, When I was seeing my specialist at Vanderbilt, he was checking my Erythropoietin and LDH every 2-3 months. My local Heme/Onc doctor never orders anything but a CBC. I have been off HU since March 11 because it was making me feel horrible and I was supposed to start Besremi which was denied

Low Dose Naltrexone?
Hi all-I am 3.5 years with PMR in the U.S., now at 7mg pred using Dead Slow Method on my way to 6.5. My legs are quite painful these days and Dr prescribed low dose Naltrexone. Does anyone have experience with it? Presumably it helps with pain, inflammation and helps reduce need for pred. The med

Niacin. Your thoughts?
I didn't find any hard evidence. Part of niacin converts into NAD+. I don't think that would be good. And the proven HDL increase doesn't seem to make much difference in actual cardiac risk (perhaps HDL is a marker and artificially changing it doesn't affect the root contributors to cardiac risk?).

Calcium scoring CT scan .. family related history
Hi all, New to the forum. I’m sure everyone here would rather not be, but from what I’ve read so far, it’s a great resource of reassurance, understanding and support, from the collective and varied experiences that everyone has had. So this is my story so far. I’m an above average fitness, healthy 54

JOY TO THE WORLD. The berberine has come 👐⚡️😮🗣🏃♀️🌈
The bad
LDL
went from 180 to 140. The good HDL from 57 to 69 and triglycerides went from 136 to 101. Maybe if I took the berberine everyday like I was supposed to, per the studies, I would be at 200 where the docs want me.

CLL and Cholesterol
LDL
is 3.1 and HDL is 0.99. This is a repeat in a fasted state following on from a previous test which returned a reading of 4.73! My specific query is can CLL affect, especially the HDL(good) cholesterol.? I understood its preferred to be in the range 1-2.5, so I'm literally just under that.

Nubeqa and LDH level was high now normal
OK,I have been on Nubeqa 10 months Continuing on Lupron monthly. My choice to do monthly. Anyway my LDH level has been high, as high as 285. But yesterday it was 213 - normal. Any ideas on what this might mean?
