Very high ACA IgM
Saw a new MPN doc couple weeks ago who found I have a very high ACA IgM, 104 was my value and reference range is 0 to 12. Also have an elevated LDH. Suspected that I may have APS syndrome (some form if it) but I have to retest in 12 weeks to see if it’s still high. In the meantime he advised that I try

Fatty Liver disease and Triglyceride levels
Is it common place for people with fatty liver disease to have elevated triglyceride levels? Would you expect triglyceride levels to correlate with a fibroscan CAP score? There's also a particular type of cholesterol associated with the liver called VLDL: Is this a test that an NHS GP can do or is

Hypo and statins
However my cholesterol (
LDL
) is high and has been for a long time. I’m guessing my GP will be advising I take statins at my next check up. Anyone any experience of taking both? Any problems? I have seen the Nice report on here stating that statins can cause problems in people with hypothyroid.

High HDL & High LDL/Statin will be negative for liver right? My liver enzymes are elevated already.
Results are High on Lymphocytes, on White Blood Count, on SGPT and both HDL and
LDL
. My question is, won't statins negatively impact my liver? I've read online that they do and because of my already high reading of liver enzymes should I not take them?

Fasting Insulin.
The latest Life Extension magazine has a lead article on fasting insulin. With insulin resistance, the pancreas produces increased amounts of insulin (as long as the beta cells hold out.) This is refected in fasting insulin levels. Glucose and A1c may look normal when the above strategy is working

Private cholesterol testing - not DIY
The NHS will give tests every few years, but I’d like to keep an eye on my
LDL
figures. I have tried at home kits with limited success. I just wondered about options for clinics who do this? I’m sort of OK to pay up to £80 but any more than this is getting pricey. Any good recommendations?
