Hi, I feel like an alcoholic, my name is Johnny, this is my first time here, I’ve had life changing FM for 4.5years and no days sober.

I would like to know has anyone tried the following drugs and if so what were the results?

Low dose Naltrexone, Milnacipran or Sunosi…..

The naltrexone dose used to treat fibromyalgia is less than 10 times that of treatment for any alcohol disorder. For some the pain minimizing effect is very obvious. For me it just wasn't noticeable enough.

Milnacipran is not available in the UK and as Lisa has mentioned LDV is used in conditions in tiny amounts compared to the normal therapeutic dose as an opioid antagonist. This means obtaining it requires a private prescription and some hoops to jump through in the UK. It works for some and not others.

Not aware of Sunosi for fibro.
