Elevated CRP
Well, the good news just continues. After finding out via email that I have ckd I finally set down to look at the rest of my results. My C-reactive protein test seems to be extremely elevated at 12.8. Could this be because of my kidney disease?? Cholesterol number are fine. Tryglicerides just a little

Iron tablets
Right ok. I’ve been put on iron tablets and I’m 10 days in. I’m taking them with vitamin c. I’ve also stopped taking lansoprazole and introduced cider vinegar tablets. My question is what can I now take to help me go to the toilet as I haven’t been able to go regularly since starting iron and coming

Hi all. As per first post I am newly diagnosed with Hashimotos. I take 125 mcg Levo, still have fatigue, muscle aches, eczema. Any idea when this will improve. I had my dose increased 3 weeks ago and I was diagnosed with hypothyroid in 2013 before the Hashimotos was found. I seem to have a bit of rheumatism

B12 injections
Hi guys I first posted on here at the end of March - many thanks to Sleepybunny for your help at that time! - I tried a couple of injections because of constant nausea and vomiting for a period of 6 months and the symptoms improved for a little while and then came back. I had a private pernicious anaemia

Hope and Healing
Hi, I'm new to group. I want to share some of my story. I had the "normal" symptoms... Headaches, light and noise sensitivity, painful and swelled neck, joint pains, very painful and swelled lymphnodes (jaw, abs, and groin). I felt crippled. Especially my groin lymphnode, I could hardly stand or walk

Collagen and fibrosis, do you know how that works?
Remember from prior posts, that fibrosis forms first as long strings that associate over time and are eventually arranged into a very stable triple helix that is zipped together by vitamin C. There are many kinds of collagen in your body and they have different characteristics depending on their specific

Where to go from here with the Drugs.... Humira???
Hi I am on the wrong side of fifty and have had the RA since about 12 yrs. Several years now I have been on methotrixate. It has never been great and given me quality of life but I got by. Several months ago I started losing hair and GP didn't comment or suggest anything. From reading here I found

Adrenal Gland Improvement
Just wondering if anyone might care to give an opinion on my adrenal saliva results. I've had several tests done over the past few years, but as I experienced problems initially when I switched to NDT in October 2016, I took some supplements for adrenal fatigue, but had a test done mid 2017 and added

I'm new here... this much I know, PMR under 50 is not the norm but NOT impossible!
I don't know how I found this group but I'm so glad I did. I live in a small town in South Central Alaska with very few support groups of any kind let alone one for PMR patients. I read someone's post several nights ago and was too tired to comment. They talked about being under 50 and docs not treating

Antibiotics and vitamins and levothyroxine (Hashimoto sufferer)
Hi I have been diagnosed with cellulitis of my ear and prescribed the antibiotic Clarithromycin twice a day for a week. I don't think I've had antibiotics since I started taking Levo for Hashimoto's, so I wondered: A) how far apart from Levo should I take the antibiotic? B) will the antibiotic interfere

Low serum free thyroxine level is correlated with lipid profile in depressive patients with suicide attempt
I really don't know what to say about this abstract. Unless I am getting it entirely wrong, don't total cholesterol and triglycerides tend to rise with low FT4? Anyway, it has certainly previously been reported that it is vital to consider the possibility of statins causing or worsening depression
